The Condor Cam allows people from around the world to watch as Sisquoc and Shatash incubate a 250-gram egg, turning it gently with their beaks and squabbling over who gets to nestle atop it.  The parents were given an artificial egg to incubate, and the birds’ behavior continues just as it would if it were their own egg. During the last few days of incubation, the real egg will be returned to Sisquoc and Shatash, allowing them to help the chick hatch and immediately assume their parental duties.

1/24/2012  ::   Improved Camera Coverage
A third camera has put into the scan sequence to better cover activity at the nest ledge. As far as we know at this point there are still two males competing for breeding male dominance. Any activity observed from this point on is critical in determining how this nesting season will play out. The adult female is not banded. The new male is not banded. The resident male is banded and is somewhat smaller than the new male. DEP staff are observing the birds, as time allows, in order to identify subtle differences in plumage and markings among the three peregrine falcons.

Talked to MAK before her therapy session. This surgery was more involved and her recovery will be a bit longer. She has staples instead of sutures, (as she was rejecting the sutures the first time). If I know the MAK-ster, she will make sure she heals quick and will do what it takes to get back on the falcon watching track!! Good luck girl.

Several times yesterday when I logged on, it would say the rfalconcam Forum was now available on Tapatalk for my iPad.  Bought it today but haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

That's interesting. I didn't know that it would do that.

I got the same thing Shaky! When I check the forum on my phone, before I clicked out a message came up about using Tapatalk. Thought it was strange!
