The red-banded female may have sustained injuries late last week. The beak and one eye may be injured. These kinds of injuries usually occur as a result of a collision with glass or some other urban structure. Any falcon cam watcher who observes red eating should email the date and time of feeding along with a photo, if possible, to ra-epfalcon@pa.gov. Tracy Simpson, I think it was her if I remember correctly, said that they can't afford to spend the money to pay the biologists to band just one bird-so I guess single eyases won't be banded any more in Canada. 

I always thought banding was a free charge!! I'd do it for free just to be up close to these beautiful babies! Oh the almighty buck!!  $$$$

Probably because she's so mobile. They might scare her off the ledge. It's a shame she won't be banded.

They usually band before they're mobile..no problem in prior yrs.

I agree, would love to know where this one ends up!! Oh well! At least it's a healthy one!!

I am so heartbroken over all the disasters at this site since Kendal's injuries. It's been bad juju since!! Poor Mac! Fly free little guy!! Hope Skye is slinking in the wings and comes back!! Quest is a great mom and will do what needs to be done. She's like an Army General!! I salute her!!

We had quite the view of a special visitor at our NewsChannel 9 tower camera this morning! We think it's a hawk, but we would like to hear from you on identifying the beautiful bird and also -- what should we name our new friend?

LOL, everything seems to be a Hawk!!

Reports are that Hope has been at the nest and bonding with Terzo in the past couple days so whatever happened with Magnum entering the picture is a mystery.    The juvie, C1, is being seen by watchers and is doing well!

I think we all have sorta backed off since the sweet Lady didn't come back!! But.......YAY for them!! THX!!!
