Pa and S2 have a quiet 1/2 hour together. They dine on the ledge. Check out the 1st video on the right. Pa caught the prey, S2 came and took it from him, then she fed him.  heart

2nd video is good too, juvie takes prey from dad.

Loved these videos!  Look at the one from 6/10 where Pa is lifted up by the wind like a helicopter!  They're such a devoted couple-wish Beauty had a mate like that.  Sad

But don't forget how S2 came into the picture...now that was a season of tears!

An absolute nightmare! A rough few weeks Ei.

thumbsup Good job Joycie!  wave

They've posted an answer on that Forum.

Appreciate your continued interest in Cheyenne, Joyce! Been talking to Laura all week, but things have been very busy for her and us with fledges. Don't know if you caught it, but we've had to pick up five juvs so far at some of the Cuyahoga Co. sites, and we're trying to fit in time to watch an exciting new nest in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park with a female hatched at the TT in '09 (Strike-- from Buckeye and SW's last clutch).

What we do know about Cheyenne is that the vet thought he might have been in the flight cage a bit too soon and aggravated his slight corocoid fracture and previously dislocated shoulder. So, he was wrapped again and put into a smaller cage to heal.

I'm sure Liz will be able to fill you in on more details with the help of her friend who volunteers at the MRC, but we'll also post when we find out any additional info. Thanks Liz for getting and posting the info. C & C

Mike reported our first fledge!!  He is pretty sure it is Lady Liberty aka Libby.  Men were up working by the scrape again so he is not sure about Hudson.  Libby was happily bouncing and of course eating on top of 10 Exchange Place which is a block away and another safe building for the fledglings.  She is a very aggressive female.

Seems we have fledglings all over the place.

And the fun begins! Good luck.

!!! 4pm to 10pm watch report - Lady Lamont returns to the nest box! An incredible and confusing afternoon and evening on the fledge watch!!!!
June 14, 2011 - Burlington - Lift Bridge
Mark Nash Reports:

PM watch report -Tuesday June 14th - 2011
It was a crazy day in Burlington today full of activity on and off all day. There was so much happening throughout the day that my head is spinning.
The highlights this evening had Lady Lamont completing several good strong short flights from tower to tower roofs, them to the hydro tower for the first time as she tried to get closer to mom.

With several not so good landings and just as many aborted landings unable to get the altitude that she wanted, she was forced to fly around back where she came from only to land on a different part of the tower roofs. Finally she was able to make it back to the nest box where she was greeted with a very excited sister (Lady Nelson). The two siblings touched beaks for several minutes that could only be described as a true sign of affection between the two. A very heart warming moment indeed!

!!! Sunshine Returns Home
June 14, 2011 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre
Linda Woods Reports:

Sunshine returns to the nest ledge. What a Flyer! She fooled me. I thought it was an adult taking food to the ledge. She spent most of the day on the higher elevation of 120 Adelaide. At dinner time I did a check, she was still there on the east side of this roof top. After not seeing much activity, I did another check, she was gone. What I thought was food going into the ledge was actually Sunshine returning.  Good flyer. I hope she keeps it up. She stayed there for the remainder of the evening and we closed the watch for the night at 9:00p.m. They appeared to be down for the night. All was quiet This image sent to us from the Rochester Crew viewing the webcam.
