At another “twitch�, last winter, near Wadebridge, Cornwall, there was a fight between two birders waiting on the steps of a hide trying to catch a glimpse of an American bittern.

And still The Lady sits faithfully on what seem to be unviable eggs. Her mate continues to feed her. And each day, as I check the webcam, I wonder if she will still be there and I think: "This really IS good-bye."

Sunshine is hanging tight to the nest ledge. Flapping and running of the ledge seen today and late this afternoon. The most activity this evening was around 5:30p.m. Rhea Mae took prey to the roof top of the Sheraton near the west side. Tiago flew in to see what was for dinner. The then flew off to the Antenna. Moments later Rhea Mae took the food pack to the nest ledge. And that was it , aside from staring out the nest ledge. The adults have been busy today running off Turkey Vultures today;

At 8p.m. all was quiet and had not seen any of the kids for a while now. Weather is cool, breezy and somewhat overcast. Adult were not in view of the chicks. We decided that, “she’s not going this evening� and closed the watch for the day.
