If you come in Montréal, be careful.... We have 2 falcons named Spirit and Roger who are very agressive and protective . They have pushed away an american eagle five days ago; not very welcoming these parents!!! You can see photos here: http://fauconsudem.blogspot.com/It's the first flight here too. Oh my, that pic with the eagle with talons up is amazing!! Yeah, I won't go near your falcons!!! LOL

Sunshine still at home June 09, 2011 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre Linda Woods Reports:
All four were still on the ledge at 8p.m. this evening. Today the adults were seen giving flying lessons, but Sunshine wasn’t buying it. I think she was taking notes, but not really doing a lot of ‘testing her wings’ on the ledge, this evening. A food drop was done for the others around 6p.m. Winds are really gusty at street level, whipping around these tall structures, which is really deceiving. It feels really cool out in the wind, but when I arrived at the King St. sight, the winds were calm and a very pleasant evening.
Perhaps tomorrow will be the day for a first flight.
2nd Morning at the Sheraton Centre June 09, 2011 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre Harry Crawford Reports:
I got to the watch at 7:45am. The chicks were fed at 6:30am [webcam viewing]. Around 9am, the oldest chick was flapping and running back and forth. Most of the time, at least two chicks were visible from ground level. At 9:30am, an adult visited the nest ledge briefly. For about half an hour, none of the chicks were visible so this was possibly another food drop. Linda dropped by a bit later and confirmed that all four chicks were on the nest ledge. I left just after 11:30am and the site was now being watched by Annie.

I'll make a new thread so not to combine it with the Rochester watch reports. Ok, so they left the Grain and went to Statler. Took a few pics from ground level, when a light bulb went off in Joyce's evil mind! There was an old building across from the Statler, so they decided to go in that building and up to the 26th floor, which is directly across from the nest. Got a birds eye view of the nest with 3 Juvies in it. No adults that they could find. Guess they passed someone in the building and said they are just going to see the Falcons and the guy said OK!! How easy was that?? Next stop Burlington, hopefully they will have a signal but I doubt it. We'll see.

MAK just called, her and Joyce stopped at Buffalo. Saw 3 Juvies and BB on nest watching over them. Off to CT where they found only 1 adult. No sightings at Grain Elevator and now on their way to Statler then Burlington. As long as they get a signal, I'll post updates. They are going to try and hit every nest on the way....even Valient, at Ogdensburg, if that's him.

I'm going to try to make it up to Canada Square for the banding this morning at 10 am so I can check out the 'invading interlopers'! Going to go get ready now as I"m located about an hour from that site. Nice Carly, have fun.
