Who's V.....lol Oh I'm so confused!! Could be an upside down A or it's a U... I'm confused. Are you confused? Okay ladies, step AWAY from the pigeon poop, get out of the sun, and into some shade! Bawaaaaaaahahahaha! OK, yes it was warm , and I was snoozing , oh and by the way, ee-chuping makes a wonderful alarm clock. My texting skills are not the best to begin with on my cheap cheap cell phone so, V & U are right next to each other so, well U became V and KO became KP and well, you get the idea. Ok, so B was at KO and headed North! Would this be correct? Donna - Didn't they tell you NOT to poke the bear! If you look at the original tweet, you'll see that I already added the correction that I should have noted that I was downtown not at KP, and that Miss Beauty flew north from the nest box. I think I understand but not shure I don'tknow, blame it all to our dearest Archer Was just making sure this was the correct correction!

Hi guys! Although you probably didn't know I was missing, I'm back! With a shiny new 'puter...hard drive gave out on the old one. Thankfully I saw it coming & did a full backup Friday night so I'll just be missing a few pictures from Saturday. Now to get used to this keyboard-it's tiny, but there isn't a jack on this to plug in my old one...might just have to get a USB converter...
Anyway...off to get firefox set up...later!
FYI, Firefox 4 on Win7 has been giving me problems with Ustream. I refuse to download FF 4. Keeps asking me...I heard bugs.

I'm reading this outside where there is lots of glare from the sun, and the photo looks pretty dark, so I'll admit this could be completely wrong based on not being able to see the picture very well, but they look starling-ish to me...
I assume she already tried to find the nest and return the babies, or put them up high nearby where the parents might find them?
Actually Patti, her daughter was working at Pet Smart at the time and someone dropped them off, that's all she knows about them. Some smarty thought they were abandoned and just picked them up. That's the story I got. I find this out later. She has been searching for a rehabber in Wisconsin where she lives. Wish I knew for sure what they were as she is treating them as baby Robins.

Hi Donna,
The close shots are a combination of positioning, natural cover and using a video camera which can take a long lens. I use a Canon XL-H1A camera, which is a HD camera, with an adapter and a Canon 100-400 f4.0-5.6 lens. This camera has a small chip so a large magnification factor (of 7.0) compared with my SLR camera (1.7). For the real close shots I used a 1.4x teleconverter. The nest itself is approximately 100 metres away when the shots are taken, and although it's not obvious from the video, the shots are taken through a gap in the branches of a large pine!
Here is a photo of the set-up (apologies for the poor quality, it was taken using my phone camera!)
Well, whatever you were talking about.....it WORKS!! Now that's a set-up! I love it and would NEVER know how to use it....or hook it up! Great job and I think we'd like more please! They will be fledging soon and you probably have a contraption that auto-follows falcons too!
