Well said Mirta and hope people abide by the rules to help save the Horseshoe crab. Some people need re-conditioning. Way to go Spider Lady!

Biologists ruffle some feathers at UT
Plucky parents shield chicks

Meet Cairo, Sendai, Madison, and Gaia, four adorable chicks. 2 males, 2 females

It's hard not to get a warm and fuzzy feeling for them. Yet you might want to know Mama and Papa Peregrine Falcon -- aka Belle and Allen, respectively -- weren't especially thrilled by Thursday's human encounter, an annual rite of spring on the University of Toledo campus since the breeding pair produced their first offspring in 2007.

Probably no place on Delaware Bay has been devastated more by storms and high water recently than Gandys Beach.

The flooding predicted along the Delaware River and Bay left more devastation Monday and Tuesday nights, but this time for horseshoe crabs instead of homeowners.

If stress could be the reason Unity isn't brooding her eggs, maybe that's why Beauty isn't spending too much time in the nest box with her eggs.  Archer appears to be the primary brooder the past few days and when Beauty is on the eggs, she seems very unsettled.

Can't blame her or Unity!  Sad

No updates on Quest? This thread is dying out. Let's keep it going!

Sorry meant to say, I know CPF is VERY busy with banding but doesn't anyone have a connection to the people at Harlequin?

Even before we knew Unity's identity, Rochester Falconcam team member Carol Phillips was busy working with our good friends at Kodak to get access to the site for our crack team of watchers.  Recently her persistence paid big dividends as Kodak invited a few observers to take a closer look.  Falconcam team members...

Those pics are amazing!! The view to Kodak and DT is scary, no wonder they know about each other. Great job you all and a lot of questions answered. To bad for Unity, I really feel bad for her. I never saw so much pooh in my life.
