I am having serious doubts about hatching. But I will be there, young birds or not. The area is lovely and there many things to do, aka Lake Ontario and environs. Plus the falcons will still be around. AND the falcon watchers are the best group ever. We are trying to build something down here, either Jersey City or Water Street.
Why doubts Bonnie, Beauty has been incubating since day 1. What do you mean?

The girl left the box out all night, hoping the mother would come for them. Well mom never came but something else did and killed 3 of them and left 1. The lone survivor is being cared for by the friends sister, who is bottle feeding the darling little kitten. I think I have a home for this sweetie. How awful for the others. What a dunce! Are those photos of the kittens? They look old enough to be learning to eat meat baby food, and kitten milk from a bowl. If you email me, I will send you a recipe for "Kitty Glop", which has saved many a kitten or sick cat... Carol WV Carol, the one pic of all is before they were killed by whatever! The lone kitten is being fed formula. They were all very weak when found. This last one is drinking from a bottle and will go on food gradually. What a shame the other 4 died. (Not if I had them). Why she left them alone outside is beyond me....

Over the weekend, my neighbor Pam, who took care of my Bucca when he was sick, got a phone call from her friend. She found 5 kittens in her back yard, all screaming. Momma disappeared and who knows how long these kittens were alone. Pam brought her a container/box to put them in. That night, 1 died, it was the runt. Yesterday, Pam went over to see them and was horrified at what she saw. The girl left the box out all night, hoping the mother would come for them. Well mom never came but something else did and killed 3 of them and left 1. The lone survivor is being cared for by the friends sister, who is bottle feeding the darling little kitten. I think I have a home for this sweetie. How awful for the others.
