!! Yellow Pages Has Four Eggs!! Linn from Rochester identified as the resident female! May 05, 2011 - Scarborough - Yellow Pages Tracy Simpson Reports: Marion and I attended the Yellow Pages site today to follow up on how the nest at this location is progressing. At last visit, there were two eggs on the northwestern ledge that the territorial pair were attending to. Today’s check in revealed that two more eggs have been added to the nest scrape for a total of four. While attending the site, Marion and I were both carefully inspected by the residential pair and we were able to get not only pictures of the two adults, but firm identification on their band numbers as well. The resident female is Linn, hatched in 2007 in Rochester, New York and banded Black 91 over Green V. The male is Rueben, banded Black 43 over Green M, hatched in 2003 at the Busch Agricultural Center in Wisconsin.
Linn spent a lot of time back in Nov. 07 - Jan 08 at the old CPF Scarborough Bell hack site and was unsucessful in producing eggs with Rueben in the summer of 2009. Rueben was also the resident territorial male at the Yellow pages nest site during this same time. We will continue to check back in with this pair and follow the progress of this nest. I will also be posting pictures of the adults once I have had time to resize them so check back soon!!

!!! Mother’s Day Hatch(s)! May 08, 2011 - Etobicoke - Sun Life Centre Kathy Reports:
Just arrived back from a 2 hour visit to the nest site. When I arrived, even without binoculars, Angel could clearly be seen from the ground flipping back and forth like pizza! Up, down, frontwards, backwards…on and on it went for a good 45 minutes.
Finally she left the nestbox and flew over to the cache and returned quickly with food in her talons. She spent 8-10 minutes feeding something - her head was up and down and she was clearly chupping to someone between, single chups that prompt a chick or chicks to eat. When done she immediately left with the food in her talons and stashed it on another ledge and then right back in to the box.
She settled a bit but was again seen moving around, head clearly seen from the ground, more flipping around! About 45 minutes later, I heard Jack’s shrill signal that he was arriving - here’s the funny thing, I never saw him. I had his perch on the other side and the nest ledge clearly in sight and never saw him once. Angel started chupping to him and I could hear him answer back. At one point she got out in front of the nestbox and looked straight up and was chupping up a storm to him and then right back into the box she went. He gave the ‘I’m leaving’ signal and then all was quiet…amazing!
CPF members will be onsite tomorrow to confirm what I saw today. Week before last I was watching the Gulf Towers webcam online and the female was so excited that her eggs were starting to hatch that she brought in food to try to feed the eggs..it was very sweet! So I’ll wait for a visual confirmation.
In the meantime, Happy Mother’s Day to Angel and all Mom’s out there - including my own who was understanding about me spending time with ‘my other mom’ this morning!
This is THEE Jack!! 2 nests

We are working with Kodak. Currently we have been given temporary permission to use a closer lot which gives us a better view of the scrape area. Thank you Kodak! When we know for sure there are eggs and IF eyases hatch, we'll deal with it then. That's good Carol. OMG, so many nooks and cranny's over there for the wee ones to get lost in. I wish you all luck over there when and if fledging occurs! It's one big mass of hiding places.
