we should tell the cops that if a guy is urinating within camera view of the watchers, there will be pictures
But we need Pan Cam for that!

So MAK's on Broad St. down by the Post Office when 3 police cars pull up behind her. They knocked on her window and told her to roll it down. She said "did I do something wrong"? Officer, "no, but we have reports of a black man urinating all over Rochester and clearly your not a black man"! MAK, "no I'm not". Officer, "what are you doing here"? MAK, "watching the falcons". Officer, "the who"? MAK, "The Peregrine Falcons". Officer, "The Kodak Falcons"? MAK, "yes", (she was nervous and not thinking). MAK, "yeah, usually she is up on this building right here". Officer, "oh the HSBC building"? MAK, "yes". Officer, "do you have a current license"? MAK, "yes". Officer, "can I see it"? MAK hands the license and he said, "as long as you have no warrants", your OK. Officer takes license and runs it through. Comes back and say's "have a nice day"! MAK, "you too"!

B is for Butcherbird: Butcherbirds are insect eaters for the most part, but will also feed on small lizards and other meat. They get their name from their habit of impaling captured prey on a thorn, tree fork, or crevice. This "larder" is used to support the victim while it is being eaten, to store prey for later consumption, or to attract mates.

The painters were painting on canvas. The subject was the Kodak Tower, the High Falls Stack and the surrounding area. Very nice. And I thought they were painting the bridge!

Wow, I didn't know that either. I wonder what they can do with them. Should be something.
Check the website in the post from me this am...earth911.org and type in your zip...it will say if you have a place near by that takes them. I was shocked too until recently. Now I save them, you saw where they ended up, in the bellies of baby albatrosses. So sad.

A reminder: Please vote for Lexy.
Thanks for posting the reminder, Annette! I spoke with Grace Leanen yesterday (the lady who did the video about Lexie) and told her how our Forum group and others were all voting. She was thrilled to know that all of us are helping win this and was going to tell Lexie's mother. I also told her that everyone would like to see a follow-up story in the event that she wins (and it's looking really good!) and she said the bank will do a story and picture follow-up of the winner. Can't wait to to see her on her new bike Kris!

I knew about the caps cuz the city of Rochester tells you not to put them in the recycle bin. They should also tell you what you can do with them! That wouldn't be very polite.

That plastic bottle caps can not be recycled? They are not made out of the same plastic as the bottles. Sooo throwing them in the trash is not an option either, you can see what it does to the wildlife. I save all mine and when I get a full bag, I bring them to the kids school. Someone there has a purpose for them. I'm not sure what but at least they are not in the garbage.
Well, there are a few things you can do. One is you can look at a website called earth911.org and see if maybe you're just lucky enough to be near a place that does collect them. You don't want to go really far outside of your usual commute to drop them off, because then you are dealing with pollution from the car and all of that. But it's possible you can find something that's on your way, somewhere and drop them off. And the other thing is, schools and charities sometimes do collection drives... from the web

B is for Bluejay The Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) is a passerine bird, and a member of the family Corvidae native to North America. It belongs to the "blue", Canadian or American jays, which are, among the Corvidae, not closely related to other jays. It is adaptable, aggressive and omnivorous, and has been colonizing new habitats for many decades. and scream non-stop!
