Hey FF, one of Carol's Tweets said she saw 3 Falcons over Kodak in Battle. 2 big and 1 small. Assuming but not def that it was A B and another female. They drove her away as she headed out. A and B and prob the 3rd are all OK. Beauty was at the nestbox right after for 3 hours while Archer circled the Kodak area. It was probably a "get out of our territory" kinda thing.

We only have about 10 or 12 this year. Last year we had around 70. (They cut down all the big trees on the hill behind our property grrr stupid loggers and money hungry landowners)This past weekend they were playing follow the leader. The way our hill is situated they glide down between my house and the neighbors picking up speed then they pull up and soar. Its really cool to watch them. Some mornings you can see them perched in a dead tree in my other neighbors yard. I wish I had a digital camera heck I wish I had any working camera at all. I remember when we first moved out to the country we were coming home and there was one in the grass by the drive my hubby asks me what is that a chicken? and then it took off his response was "Holy sh*t" first time my city boy saw one close up quite an impressive wing span those babies have. Wow 70? I think I saw 5 my whole life! Nice story BC. HUBBY....

Maybe a Blue-winged warbler...but what do I know? The yellow coloring is right, but the blue winged has a dark stripe from beak to eye...the mystery bird doesn't. I'm still not convinced I'm right, though. Something about the shape of the face... It's the little details I fail to look at. Your a better birder Ei.

From Jeff: Jeff September 8, 2010 at 9:07am Re: Hey there Hey Donna, I'm back working @ the Airfield again and loving it!! There r 3 windmills and they are going to try and put 3 more up this year. Sometimes they spin real fast and sometimes slow. I really can't say how fast they spin !!! )

Wow, I'm likin your trips Paul. Very nice place. Did you get videos of the loons calls?
This video comes to mind. Lots of family interaction here, plus the "wail" as a contact call when the parents are a long distance apart. Paul Yeah, this was a good one Paul. The water hitting the rocks is calming. Thanks.
