I saw the deer also and the crab that I thought was a turtle....lol
Just remember that the crab walks sideways and has many legs (think big with a shell) and the turtle skooches and only has 4 legs...(just trying to be helpful here!) Judi, when I saw the crab (with shell) that I thought was a turtle, it was a very blurry shot. All I saw was movement. After a few seconds, I realized, it was NOT a turtle. Actually, it moved to fast and it was only 1. Thanks Donna

I'm not sure, Donna. Perhaps one of our other watchers here know more about her.
Lou
I'll have to do a search on RFC and find out. Could be a totally different Emma but I know that name.. ???
Thanks,
Donna

After a beautiful morning, in which Dana and I did some watching with Carol, Brian, Don, Suzanne, Jeanne, and Joyce at Kodak Park, we headed to Braddocks Bay where we were treated to a live raptor demonstration by the folks at Braddocks Bay Raptor Research. I had heard rumors that this group had dissolved, but they were there today with several raptors, including a Red Shouldered Hawk, a Golden Eagle, and our favorite, a Peregrine Falcon. Here’s a few pictures from the demonstration, including pictures of ‘Emma’, their Peregrine. http://tinyurl.com/ner9ozLou Emma, now where have we seen her before? Her name sounds familiar. She is pretty Lou as are all the rest of the flock. Thanks for sharing your day. Redtails are beautiful up close. Donna

Smileys steal vintage Indy pace car by Sedanman. The Smileys hot wired this vintage Mustang pace car at the car show during the Indy 500 last Sunday and went for a cruise. The officials were not pleased, and sent race-winner Helio Castroneves in chase. Here ya go Janet

!!! Both Adults are back on the ledge! August 19, 2009 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre CPF Postmaster Reports: With many thanks to Eileen and her photos taken, we have adult activity on the ledge. I see the ledge has been busy again, which is nice to see! I caught a couple of pictures of an adult on the standpipe Monday and today. Today’s morning pictures show another bird ( I think an adult) on the nest tray & some bowing between the two, so I’m guessing it was Rhea Mae & Tiago. And someone was back roosting on the standpipe this evening. Eileen Posted on August 21, 2009 10:08 am Observation for Toronto - Sheraton Centre

Casey is so excellent! Part of it is breeding, but much of it is the great way that you've trained him. I think that you should be very proud of Casey, and very proud of yourself as well. what a great dog I totally agree Donna

Rich loves turtles, so maybe we'll get lucky and catch one of the nests hatching!
Its pretty addictive. I saw a deer go by before the sun set. I just hope I can tell between a large crab and a sea turtle in size. Im guessing the turtle will be bigger.Good luck ! I hope one of us sees something I saw the deer also and the crab that I thought was a turtle....lol
