3421  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Seneca Towers Falcons on: 22-Aug-14, 05:59:12 AM
I don't see how it could be anybody else. Question-how is her name spelled officially? Billy is a male spelling and Billie is the female spelling. Anybody know?  confused

The reason I commented is because I spoke to someone at CT who clarified the names for me. All were people who had worked at the Terminal.  I asked if Billy was a male or female employee because of the spelling. I was told it was a female employee.  I was also told that Edward was not shortened because that's how the man was referred to.

Today it is more common to use an i or ie instead of a y, but back then names such as Patty, Jenny, Betty, Billy, Vicky, Cathy, etc. were standard.

We have a Bobbie!!  wave

I just saved whatever pic I wanted for my avatar and clicked upload in the profile section and that was it. It takes a few minutes for the pic to actually change. I just hit refresh a few times and new avatar shows up. I never tried the URL way yet.  confused

Very interesting!  I hope we see her again, either at Brighton or perhaps Seneca Towers, just not downtown.  And I definitely hope Dot.ca doesn't see her and take a shine to her.

He does have that *roaming eye*!!   Wink

Miss Pigott has been in her nest box doing some house keeping this morning, she's been there for about a half hour now!  wub2

Yaaaay! SO pleased for this girl!
Me too!  I'll bet it's a lot easier to do housework at her Syracuse nestbox than it was in Brighton.   happy

She had that HUGE cubby! Much better now! I kinda miss her. Saw more of her at BS!! Sad

Wish I could have seen that, Carol. I never ever ever see those...and Donna, that is one scary image!!  We do have about a zillion peregrine nests in the city, but none make ginormous dive-bombing eyases.  That chick will ding its bill seriously on the Bean, if it doesn't watch out!

Dale, that is one of the Evanston eyases! Wrigley!!!

No cam this year!

Yes the Falcons have relocated this year and Emily is presently sitting on 3 eggs that are about two weeks old by now. They have relocated to a balcony garden on the 9th floor, north side of Skygardens. Unfortunately, the unit is presently vacant, so it is difficult to get regular updates.

I was fortunate to get a look this morning thanks to Louise who manages this unit amongst others for a property developer. Emily would not get off of her eggs today but Louise has promised to send me a photo of the three eggs that was taken early last week. Also Frederick is super protective and is not shy in attacking anyone who ventures onto any nearby balconies as I have experienced a number of times.

*At least they are safe and back to doing what they are suppose to do!

OK YAY, they know where the falcon is from but why did they want to know?? Was it spotted? Does anyone know?

As far as I can tell from the FB post, it seems the pefa was "spotted".  Hopefully this means that there was not a problem!

Spotted is a good thing!!   Wink
