Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Seneca Towers Falcons

Those are both good signs that Veteran will stay put. With all the busy-ness of this season, starting with Pigott's departure, Beauty and Dot.ca's 2014 family and the discovery of Veteran and Luzerne, I haven't really looked for Billy in a long time. Perhaps she moved on. She is, after all, a peregrine. It would indeed be sweet if she is still in the vicinity and would like to settle down and mate with Veteran.
I too feel awful about Luzerne and Voyager. The lump in my throat and the tears in my eyes re-appear just with typing their names. At least they got to enjoy a year of beautiful flight.
Fall is coming and there will be migrating Falcons, so one never knows who may fly in! I hope Veteran finds himself a mate over the Winter months! Beauty can sure attract them, no reason Veteran can't. I agree Pat, just mentioning the names puts my heart in heaviness! A week I won't forget!

I feel lucky that I got to see Luzerne in person several times and that I got a few good pictures of her. She was beautiful in her juvie to sub-adult plumage. I also feel good that we named her. It would be a shame to have to refer simply to her band numbers in death. She was more than a number over a letter.
I feel double honored to see her and Veteran flying around the gorge below and up to the Tower, right in front of me then Luzerne turning upside down to grab the food from Veteran! It was a "WOW" moment for me and one I will never forget! Shoot, I feel so bad losing 2 in one week!

OMG, I just saw her last week! I hope it wasn't fowl play!! MAK over heard 2 people in the elevator saying the "Hawks" need to be taken out as they were finding bird parts on the 22 floor balcony! I pray nothing like this happened to her! So many obstacles in that area, bridge, traffic, people!! Hope they find out what happened to her! Sweet Luzerne, fly free! Feel bad for Veteran!

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcons History / Re: Rfalconcam family tree

There are now 2 versions of the tree...one following the Kodak branch and another following the Times Square branch... http://rfalconcam.com/rfc-main/familyTree.php...though they do overlap in places. I update them during the down time in the winter. Oh dear. Unfortunately I thanked you before actually trying the above link. I have Adobe Reader but even with the highest zoom, the falcon names are much too blurry to read. I even tried changing the screen resolution but still couldn't read a thing. And yes my eyeglasses are fine. Any ideas? Has anyone else tried to read this file recently? Dot in PA If you keep your Ctrl key down and scroll your mouse, the page will zoom real big and you can read all the names! Just a thought.
