Schatzi's body when it was recovered earlier today. She was donated to the Indiana State Museum in hopes that she was in good enough shape to be mounted and displayed someday. I look forward to next year. I'll try to keep you posted on the adults throughout the rest 2014. They will likely both hang around Indy throughout the winter. Talons crossed for continued good health for Will and KathyQ. I almost didn't post this picture so as not to upset anyone, but even in death I think she is beautiful.

Not posting the pic here as it made me cry! I wasn't expecting to see a pic!! Sad

There are quite a few in Canada this year with blue feet. DC's dad Jack's kids have blue feet and DC's brother Skye & Quest have 2 with blue feet! I think it's an epidemic this year!! Speaking of Rosetta, wonder where she went?

Just an idea   thumbsup I would never want to put any eyas in danger  Cry. Thats why I wondered if it were done safely at other sites to see how difficult it is to put together. You have such lovely little parks in Rochester and dedicated watchers its sad to hear they dont get to see any bandings anymore since Kodak. I remember the school children that used to love to name an eyas and I could just imagine their little faces when they saw them up close after watching them for weeks on the cams. I bet many of those children grew up with a love of nature because of those times and events
From here in NJ I thank you all for what you do putting together the videos so I can share in the day each year. Enjoying the new and reminiscing about the ole  falcon

That was very well said Caitie.

It was very quick. By the time we got to the vet she was blind and very weak. This is a cancer that sneaks up on you, so aggressive. She was OK yesterday, we even went for a walk. I'm lost without her

Kate died on May 28th. What a great dog she was! Rest in Peace sweet Kate.  Sad

If need be, they check them and dust them for lice. It is gross but ---- Happens! Normal in the birds world. I have yet to see a clean nest!

Since our access is from the back of the box instead of the front there is the possibility of the babies going over the edge. We decided to leave them alone for this year, learn everything we can with this current set up and evaluate all aspects for next year.  from fb

That splains it! Good call!
