Guess who? She's back - Bobbin returned to the perch 3pm Saturday. Not for long, she stayed about 20 minutes but also returned around 3pm today for 15 minutes. It was August last year when she visited again after breeding, this does seem a little early... from fb

Hmmm, wonder if her nest failed or never nested!!

We are only naming 1 eyas. If the 1st one is female, it will be Genesee, if the 1st one is male, it will be Mercury! I think that is how it's done! Shaky correct me?   gum

They are not alone, I read where many have failed due to the cold and wet. Could be that or like you said Paul, an infertility problem. Very sad indeed and thanks for posting!  Sad

http://wqad.com/2014/06/03/falcon-chick-dies-hours-after-banding-ceremony-in-davenport/

The peregrine falcon chick hatched at MidAmerican Energy in Davenport fell from her nesting box hours after she got an ID band and was officially named.
At a ceremony Tuesday morning, June 3, 2014, the chick was banded and identified as a female.
Her name is “Marta.”  The name is Czech in origin, and means “lady” or “the lady.”
Marta hatched May 8, 2014.  Hers was the only one of four eggs on the Davenport nest to hatch in 2014.
Scorpio, the female and P/D, the male, have raised more than a dozen chicks since they made the nest their home in 2003.
A media relations representative for MidAmerican Energy confirmed Marta fell from her nesting box and died Tuesday afternoon, June 3.
MidAmerican Energy will continue its dedication to protect peregrine falcons, including their Peregrine falcon nesting program, the representative said.

So guys, I have been on a few filming trips in the last few weeks and have not had much of a chance to get out with my camera. So at the first chance I got to get out, I went to check on the Peregrine nest that I photographed at the beginning of spring! To my delight I could see one white, fluffy, well fed, healthy Peregrine Falcon chick! The mum was taking off in an amazing fashion after feeding it, so I thought you would like to see the sequence!  clap
