How long will Pigott hang around her territory without some male showing up?  I'm trying not to worry about her moving into Beauty's territory, but I'm thinking that if she doesn't get a mate soon, that's what might happen.  Could DC still show up?

Also, could her chosen nesting site be a possible deterent for passing tiercels?

I can't answer all your questions but migration is still going on and there is a possibility that DC could be late. Don't forget, last year he showed up the 1st week in April. If he doesn't, a passer-by may stop in for some company with Pigott. As far as the location at BS, many falcons have been spotted there in the past, so it's a pretty active site. In Rochester, anything can happen. If DC does not come back, I hope she finds herself a mate also. She deserves it.

Our cameras are just not enough to get better shots so the bands can be seen.  Even with my binocs I can't call it.

It seems we've "lost" two birds here this week. BB taken and Diamante can't be ID'd the last couple days. I feel like crap...

I won't give up on Diamante just yet! He comes from some fierce loins!! I know that doesn't matter but in my simple mind, it does!

Thanks for posting.  I had no idea that Atlanta had falcons that aren't football players.   

Many moons ago they had some local advocates who were very active here...Jim & Sherry Heard. We lost track of the Atlanta birds when they moved from the area. I'm glad to hear they're still doing well!

I remember Jim and Sherry. They were so nice! Does anyone know where they are now?
