SHOCKERhttp://magazine.outdoornebraska.gov/2017/05/another-shocker-eggs-abandoned/ More In another unexpected twist, the Capitol’s Peregrine Falcons appear to have abandoned their five eggs shortly after they completed their clutch. The pair had just welcomed their fifth and final egg late on 27 April or early on 28 April. Events seemed to be playing out as expected as the birds’ commenced the month-long incubation period. Then, inexplicably, the falcons left the eggs unattended Sunday (30 April) morning in the cold and rainy weather. Both birds have essentially been away ever since. The only reasonable conclusion is that the birds have now abandoned their clutch. *No explanation why this happened, someone did say maybe intruder!!!

P.S. Unfortunately, there isn’t money in the budgets of UC-Santa Cruz or the city to upgrade the camera, which could cost about $25,000 for a full upgrade Really?????
Oh, didn't I tell you that it will cost $25,000 to fix Main Camera? I prefer cash. In unmarked bills. No cops. You got it! Shhhhh!

It’s two girls and a boy for San Jose City Hall’s resident peregrine falcons, Clara and Fernando El Cohete. But biologist Glenn Stewart warns this may be the last year people can watch the birds’ behavior online unless the aging webcam gets some serious help. *This cam is big news, can't they fund raise?? “One of the females looks like it has some neurological issue,” Stewart said. “It’s having trouble staying upright. It’s a wait-and-see thing. Not every egg hatches, not every baby survives. That’s part of the deal.” http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/04/28/san-jose-city-hall-falcon-chicks-gender-revealed/full story P.S. Been checking also, he is having a rough go at it! Not sure if there is a 6th or he'd really be struggling!!

7.18 am and no one on eggs, just saw someone fly by and here is Cadence..into the igloo to settle on eggs. Must have been a switch and dad I saw leaving. She's having fun trying to get all the eggs under her, if #4 comes today...that should be interesting! Poor Dad will be off the ground if she lays 1 more!!

It was quiet most of the day, Montreal FB said no sign of that other female earlier today. Just have to wait and see how it plays out. Might be like when Cady took over Union County. Apparently this female was seen around here on the 23rd as well.
Just when you think they're gone and BAM, they show up again!! I hope not!!
