Thank you, Donna, for starting the candle page. Thanks to all who have posted their sympathies, and who have lit candles. It really does help to read these comforting words. I am thinking about all the wonderful years we shared. Thanks again, falcon friends!

My pleasure Debbie. I'm a cat mom, indoors and out. I know how you feel. We care!
This Rough-legged Hawk is our first admission of 2013. One of our staff was taking the day to go birding and photographing raptors. He found this beautiful bird on the side of the road near a road killed rabbit. She is now in an incubator resting. Obviously she had been hit by a car while feeding on the rabbit. We have named her Fate! SO glad she was found by one of our staff!
The first patient of 2013 was admitted this afternoon -- #13-0001 is a Red-shouldered Hawk. This hawk was very likely hit by a vehicle, at this point, it's condition is poor based on spinal and head trauma.
Thanks Shaky! Felt like I was there! Good to see everyone!!
Thanks. I've also uploaded the videos to YouTube for those who have trouble accessing Ustream. (The toast video is in the January playlist, and the fireworks videos are in the December playlist.)
