Ok so now I'm in Columbus Ohio and can't get out of here until 10:40am this morning. Almost 5 hours to be in this lovely station-could be worse like when I came here on my way to Arkansas when the bus was overbooked and I stayed here over 6 hours!!! This gets me home in Rochester at 8:00pm instead of 2:40pm this afternoon. Unless of course there's more trouble down the road! You can go see Pigott's sister! Take a walk a bout!

Did I miss it? Did we ever hear back from who (whatever the initials are) took the eggs at banding time if they were fertilized and didn't develop or if they were duds? My thoughts this morning were on Archer and was wondering if Unity's egg could of developed if things had been different. (if Dot.ca hadn't been a jerk to Beauty at first) I hope the little guy is still out there somewhere re-cooperating No BC, I believe nothing has been posted yet and as far as Archer, I miss him too. I was going through all my pics yesterday, sorting, deleting and came across many pics of Archer, some from when he was hurt. Brought a tear to my eye. I still get a blip in my heart when I come across a pic of my boy Kaver also. Amazing how these birds impact your emotions. I'm still wigged out by how many members left when MK left. I believe we are blessed just to have new pairs. Just think if no falcons wanted to use the nest!

Just read this by Donna Hayes: Lindsay McKenna has written a very special new book called THE DEFENDER, which we will publish in December and which features our very own Harlequin the Peregrine Falcon, along with some other very special characters, both birds and human. Lindsay is not only a wonderful writer, she is also an amazxing wildlife photographer and has a special place in her heart for birds of prey.
Yes and Ann Brokelman is in it too!! http://lindsaymckenna.com/2012/10/the-defender-november-2012/ After Donna saw the videos, she sent me an email telling me I had to connect with Ann Brokelman, a professional Canadian wildlife photographer. I did, and the rest was history! Coming soon!! The book was released on Nov. 13th and I downloaded it onto my iPad tonight! Yay Kris!
