One of New Zealand's rarest birds moved into its new home in the Gibbston Valley yesterday, following a plane ride from Rotorua where it had lived since hatching on November 1.

I have trouble with them sometimes too...

Again thanks to Nona who was able to capture some screen shots of the Toronto Sheraton Centre hotel nest ledge with the CPF nest camera, both resident adults were see again today back on the nest ledge.

So far, the weather has been rather delightfu, although cooler over the past few weeks, its still very easy to take!

**One thing that was brought to our attention is that the camera’s time stamp seems to be off by an hour. Ooops, I guess we forgot to adjust the camera’s clock for Daylight savings time

So far, RheaMae and Tiago haven’t noticed, so DON�T TELL THEM!! It will be our secret

Hello Ladies!! LOL, that was fun, again!! 

Operation Migration
And so ends another year for Operation Migration - and with it begins the wild lives for our 5 young Whooping cranes. Joe picked up the young cranes this morning at 8:22 and led them 28 miles to their release enclosure at the St. Marks NWR. They landed near their new winter home at 9:05.

She's back - with lunch! Bobbin returned early afternoon today exactly 4 weeks to the day from the last spire visit. Thanks to Hazel for spotting her. She only spent around a minute on the east perch before flying round to the south perch for an hour just after the rain stopped.
