I don't know Carol, I don't know much about this site to be honest. I tuned in Friday night because some of the girls that follow it reported what was going on so I wanted to help out by watching.
I didn't even know this site existed and I live here! I know Elizabeth is a rough area, not a place I'd like to go watch on a corner! It's near the Newark airport! You can see the planes on cam!! I got lost in Elizabeth once, never again!!

I won't watch, it's too hard for me! Cadence, as much as we all love her, needs to find a new home and new 1st mate! So many out there.....where are the singles??? I wish all 3 well and yes, I agree with Alison, the female who is injured needs some care, she's weak but strong and is willing to do anything to protect her eggs. The male needs to get involved like DC did with Pigott!! Oh why did I have to fall in love with birds that battle brutal??

Wonder if the male is being cordial or could he be helping his mate? No, he looks too clean!! I'm having a hard time watching so I'm shutting the cam down. Too sad for me and I don't sleep well with this buzzing around in my head!

Me either Donna and this one has been particularly tough to watch. Cadence has been relentless on her. If you had seen the resident female last night it would have broke your heart, she was bleeding so badly and struggling to lay an egg. She looked better today but she was exhausted. She hasn't been seen for a few hours now and then we saw Cadence march into the box.. no idea if it's over but I expect the mom must be injured again if she didn't come back to her eggs.
How sad is this Carly, I feel so bad for both. I know they do this but it still breaks my heart! They are just brutal battles! Thanks for all the info!

Betty Ann Kelly ยท Environmental Specialist at County of Union Dept Parks & Community Renewal Our falcons have been involved in a battle over territory and mate with another falcon. It looks as though our female has been attacked in the chest area. This stressful situation could have an impact on egg laying and incubation but all we can really do is wait and see what happens next. This is unfortunately how nature is. We are simply observers. Let's hope for the best. Like ยท Reply ยท 15 hrs
Betty Ann Kelly ยท Environmental Specialist at County of Union Dept Parks & Community Renewal 2nd egg laid last night in spite of the continuing saga being played out on the Union County Courthouse roof! Male & female both continue to battle the 3rd bird in an effort to defend territory. The female, in spite of her wound, seems to be holding up. Stay tuned.

Cadence, after a 2 day battle may have defeated a female at Union County and looks to be taking over. Didn't know it was her until she entered the nest box and mwplay saw her bands!!
Where is this nest??? Cam? WOW, that's crazy! Union County NJ????
