Okay, some of the timings seem to have been assisted with Photoshop, but the images are still neat.  I don't know if these have been shared here before; the link showed up on my Pinterest feed today.  Some of the bird images are pretty cool.

DC came through and brought breakfast but he wasn't willing to give it up. He just wanted to feed the baby. Beauty managed to grab it from him.

Wimbledon Raptors - And Pigeons

http://www.birdnote.org/show/wimbledon-raptors-and-pigeons

Wimbledon is legendary: the verdant green of the courts, the throngs of fans in sun hats, sightings of royalty ... and lots of pigeons. Since the tennis tournament at the All England Club began in 1877, pigeons nested in the stands and generally made a mess of things. Today, though, very few pigeons attend Wimbledon. Fans can thank falconer Wayne Davis and his Harris’s Hawk, Rufus. Davis flies Rufus over the Wimbledon grounds a few times a week throughout the year -- a truly scary sight for any other feathered visitors.

LONG BEACH - For a while at least, the re-tern was a feel-good story. Until, that is, it took a turn for the worse.

Jay Holcomb, the director emeritus of International Bird Rescue, called "bittersweet" the discovery of a Caspian tern his group had saved as a chick six years ago but ultimately had to euthanize because of a badly broken wing.

Beauty left, probably to find some fill for the little one, DC arrives.

Feeling bad that he had no food and didn't dare go in as baby was screaming at him, he hid up on the roof.

Maybe she won't see me up here.

Apparently not.
