Yes Donna! Didn't know that they changed it. When we go by there I always look to see if a falcon is on the perch sticking out. No one does anything with this nest. I inquired a few years ago and they didn't really have an answer. It's on the north end of the city. On the left is the main street of Manchester-on the right is another busy road that runs along what used to be the canals for water power for the mills-on the right behind the mills is the Merrimack River. It is on the tallest building to the north-you can see the other tall buildings as it is looking south. On the Merrimack River about two miles north there is an eagles nest-they won't tell anyone exactly where-for obvious reasons ! Thanks Lynne for the answer. Wasn't sure. Too bad they don't take care of their Falcons like others do! I'm going to keep an eye on this one! It's not that they do not take care of them. They do band them and watch on camera. Just no one on watch on the ground. Sounds like a job for you Lynn! I would except it's about 30 to 45 mins. south of where I'm at. I check just for me when we go down there.

NE got hit though!
Cheaters never prosper. Two feet of karma in your driveway can't feel good. Talk about deflated balls. Blizzard bust here too. Maybe an inch. 5:30 am not snowing - 7:30 am 1 inch-10:30 am we are at about 6-8 inches. 40 miles south they have 21 inches ! Still snowing -forecast says it will snow until wed. AM !!!

Donna, Ei, Ginny and everyone else on the east coast stay hunkered down until the storm passes and I'll be praying the worst you have to deal with is shoveling your way out! Thanks, MAK ! We're in the 18" to 24 " band right now! I don't mind the snow just hope we don't lose power-that's what makes it awful !!

Bobbie-do you mean your unread posts since last visit? I've lost mine a few times when I had to close the forum and come back. It's the "last visit" thing. Nothing to be done. But you can catch up by going to the forum home page http://rfalconcam.com/forum/index.php and any topic that has an unread post will show a dark blue falcon on the left rather than a grayed out one. Click on the topic and you'll see the same for any posts you haven't read. If that's not what you mean we'll need a few more clues. Under Forum at the top it used to say view unthreaded posts it now says View Timeline. That might be what she meant.

It's the Sun! Just wondering... do schools etc close in such cold conditions? Yes, they sometimes do Bobbie. The superintendent of the city schools decided to keep the schools open yesterday morning. I was very surprised that they did not close them. Here In N.H. they have a 2 hour delay-so instead of -4 it is -8 degrees !!
