Savannah laid a second egg a couple days ago, according to observers there! Hoping for the best!

The twins were finally both placed in the nest box for Lun to see a few days ago.  Keepers suspected that she knew all along she had twins but this was the first time she saw them both together. It's been fun seeing them interact as a family!  Video by Doxiemom19

Today's update 14th December, 2016 with huge thanks again to Cathy Cook for her report and for making her way through the rugged terrain in this hot steamy Sydney day.

"Another hot day down by the river. I spotted SE17 in same area Judy saw him yesterday. I was on a high vantage point, too far for a good pic, but something is better than nothing He was sitting out in the open and I'm delighted to say, he was not being harassed by any other birds! He was intently watching other birds as they were flying around the salt marsh. Dad & Lady were at RR trying to stay cool."

Good news; sounds as if SE17 is doing well. 

I read reports he was flying well and that someone saw his parents drop off food for him.

An update from the site earlier this month:

As bittersweet as may be for some, we're happy to announce that it appears Mr. T is in a new relationship. This footage is from last evening, one of many sightings over the past few weeks of a potential new mate. Not only is this good news that Mr. T has held his territory, but it appears he is exercising influence in potential nest sites...right back where we all would want them to nest if it happens.

Any progress on finding the person who shot his mate? Not that I can find. 

I've looked but never found any updates about it, Alison.

We're 90% certain that there's a newly hatched chick (or two) in the nest. Will get confirmation this evening.

Savannah laid her first egg yesterday!  Hopefully, they'll have a baby of their own this yr.  it was also said, because they started nesting early this year, they weren't able to get a camera up and running without disturbing them.   If the opportunity arises, they'll try to get something up but no guarantees.
