Chester, didn't he Winter over with Quest?
Saw this news on FB, great isn't it??
I am not sure about Chester, but Lucky showed up at Quest's nest around December 21, 2014, and stayed until March of 2015 when Skye returned. From the Canadian Peregrine Foundation when Lucky first showed up: He spent a great deal of time up on the Harlequin building sitting in the sun and I waited for him to do some stretching and reveal the look I was seeking. At first glance I was able to only see the USFW band and it was covered in blue tape. This was not consistent with Skye, the male that was with Quest this past nest season. I continued to watch and finally got the look that I was waiting for. The band number that I could clearly see was a solid Black Y over 72 with blue tape which turns out to be a bird hatched in 2013 at the Amexon nest site named Lucky.I wonder where Lucky has been since March 2015. I believe he nested with O'Connor at Etobicoke this yr.

Continuing South Again
Island Girl departed Limón yesterday afternoon after spending 6 nights in that city; she flew southeast for 164 km (102 mi), crossed the border into Panama, and roosted last night in the forest about 7 kilometers south of Chiriqui Lagoon.

Island Girl Has Reached South America
After spending a couple of easy days crossing Panama to the tip of the Azuero Peninsula, Island Girl crossed the Gulf of Panama yesterday. She flew over open water for 412 km (256 mi), and made landfall in South America about a third of the way down the Pacific Coast of Colombia. In the seven previous southern migrations for which we have tracked Island Girl, she just reached the southeastern tip of Panama or the northwestern tip of Colombia when she made this crossing, so this is easily her longest flight over the Gulf of Panama.
Last night she roosted in the coastal rainforest about 14 km (9 mi) from the Pacific Ocean.
Good news!
