E8 update..good news! E8 UPDATE: We have received #E8's bacterial culture test results and they indicate that the antibiotics have improved the bone infection. The eaglet will receive an oral and safer antibiotic for the next couple of weeks to clear the remainder of the infection. The radiographs (X-rays) show overall improvement and blood work remains positive. E8 continues to eat on its own and is bright, alert and responsive. The eaglet will continue to receive daily conditioning to help build strength and endurance.http://youtu.be/dB0vWLnJOV8

The 3 fledglings have been doing great until a couple days ago when G1 got hurt..update on FB-
G1 Status Update—June 28
Yesterday afternoon, veterinarians at the Janet L. Swanson Wildlife Health Center took radiographs of G1 and confirmed their suspicions that G1 has a fractured left shoulder. These fractures have the potential to heal on their own if the bird is given complete rest then allowed to very slowly exercise. Some birds have even been released after recovery. At this point, the doctors caring for G1 are not considering surgery. While it is still too early to determine if the bird will be releasable, every effort will be made to ensure the success of its time spent under the care of the Wildlife Health Center.

On Peregrine Place FB page-pic shows a couple babies NORTH GRAND ISLAND BRIDGE - the adult female at the North Grand Island Bridge this year is “Terrazzo” from the 2014 Central Terminal Nest! Was able to read her band when I checked the nest back in May, and forgot to send you the photo. Her mate is not banded. Note from Jacquie

Thank you Kris.I have been viewing the Florida Cam since babies were born and of course following this special eagle.I am concerned about the bone infection and am so hoping he responds well to meds.He has been through so much in his early life,I want to see him survive. No question he has the will!!! and is a fighter.Appreciate all your reports on the forum, always informative. Thanks again You're welcome! I knew that infection was always a possibility but was so sad it became a reality when he ended up developing one. It definitely is a concern. He's been through so much in his short life..hopefully he gets over this hurdle as well.
