Ok, so the male is banded 40/AC black over green. We should be able to find out where he is from and if he was named.
I remember him as someone on BCAW had also asked about him several months back and I saved the info on him. There is a story behind him: This adult male Peregrine Falcon "40/AC" was at least 2 years old (Adult Plumage) but he could have been older when he was banded by Art on April 17, 2009. Art had rescued the bird when he became trapped inside a Center City building. He was already mated with the City Hall female. That’s the scary part. They already had 4 eggs in the nest. If he had remained trapped and away from his mate much longer, the nest would have failed, because the female would have abandoned the eggs in order to hunt for herself and survive. What we do know is that (1) this male previously nested at City Hall, and (2) now he’s nesting at 2400 Chestnut. This has resulted in this year's production of the four chicks banded today. WOW, quite a history and story which would never have been known if it were not for the telltale band number "40/AC" Black over Green!http://www.howardsview.com/PeregrineFalconBandingJuly16_15/PeregrineBandingJuly16_15.html Thanks for the history, Carly!

Just read this on the Harlequin site..bummer. Harlequin Falconcam Flies the Coop
Due to network security concerns, the Harlequin Falconcam will no longer be operating.
However, our resident falcons are still very much around and we have an active interest in their well-being. Several Harlequin employees are enthusiastic participants in the annual fledge watch to ensure the safety of the juvenile birds.
To continue following the progress of Quest, Skye and their future hatchlings, please visit the Canadian Peregrine Foundation site and click on the Toronto/Don Mills location.
Harlequin encourages anyone who wishes to learn more about peregrines, pledge support or discover what they can do to help this threatened species to visit the Canadian Peregrine Foundation at Peregine-Foundation.ca.

Not sure I am meant to reply to these posts... tho I am sure someone will give me a lash if I am wrong! Anyway... sure do hope that circus does not feature wild animals! This so fills me with anger!!! Most jurisdictions in IRL do not allow this, so I am hoping...
We certainly can respond here, but the responses are not tweeted out. And I agree... This particular circus is Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey, so unfortunately yes, there will be wild animals. I believe they even still parade the animals prior to the first performance, although this nasty weather may preclude that. I cannot believe that there is no protest about this!!! We who love our wild things would surely be in the forefront! I am scandalised to think of this happening in my hometown. Who is speaking for these creatures!? All very well to protest about environmental happenings elsewhere, only to have victims parading down our own Main Street. I cannot express the level of my anger!!!!! There have been protests every year for the past several years. Here's more info on this year's protest. http://arauny.org/ringling-yellowwall-demonstrations-1028-1112015/ Also, it appears Ringling Bros & B&B has stopped doing the parades due to protests, so they must be having some effect at least. And they've supposedly stopped using the bull hooks on the poor Elephants.

What's this? It's much whiter than the old camera. Why is the main cam picture at Powers so bleached out? It's an old camera that was moved there temporarily while I figure out how to get the new HD IP cameras to stream video. It will eventually be replaced with a PTZ HD IP camera. Very thankful you were able to get the cams set up at all...and the other 3 look fabulous! And very thankful they visited today! I was starting to wonder if the new setup had spooked them. Now we're ready whatever they decide to do! I'm also very thankful for all we have and all you've done! What is a PTZ HD IP camera?
