What's clouded the camera..web?

We've seen those dark spots on every brood at Times Square. I don't honestly recall at Kodak-maybe I wasn't watching that closely back then. Could be a Beauty thing. I think DC was trying to figure out how to flip it without hurting it.

They were all up and feeding. All 3 have flopped over at one point or another. The 1st one was a yellow foot-this time it was a pink foot.  One of them flopped over a few minutes ago & righted itself just fine.

We can certainly ask DEC to look at the pictures if anything really seems amiss.

So Carol did ask DEC on Friday about the dark wing-pits. They said it's nothing to be concerned about. Most likely that the skin is very transparent at that stage and we're seeing feather structures starting to develop under the skin.

They all had the typical avian lice which they get from prey and does not require any treatment. No other parasites were mentioned.

I don't understand why they weren't dusted or sprayed for the lice.  I would think if you see lice, you would treat them.  Lice bite, chew, crawl causing itching and irritation..poor babies.

Yay!  Just watched the video on BCAW and, boy, was Dorothy mad!  So glad he's going to be with parents!

                       

Ohhhhh, I don't want to think about that! That would mean she and Allen have a father-daughter thing going on, and she displaced her own mother. 

They did go on to say that it would be a reality TV situation, as far as Allen goes, if this was one off his offspring.  They'll never know though because the babies weren't banded that year and neither is Liadan.

OMG, I can't believe how big they are, and how fast they've grown!

               

Here's new mom Liadan feeding four gorgeous babies.  Looks like she and Allen have done a great job raising the wee ones so far. 

I watch them once in a while and she has done a great job raising the kids, after a shaky start.  As an aside, someone posted on the Toledo FB page that Liadan occasionally makes a low honking sound, that Belle also made that sound and they had heard Dorothy honked too. They wondered if Liadan could be a Toledo hatch from 2013.  I shared that Beauty honks too..must be a family thing!

OK, thanks for answering me, Carol. I didn't think there was any news to share..just thought I'd ask anyway.
