A second one went over the box rear edge after getting fed, and seems to be trapped between the box and the window. It's probably okay, but it is concerning to see. The first escapee is sitting to the right of the box, back up near the bldg. That's what I see on the archive for 7-8 pm. I'm hoping the adults are near and keeping an eye on them. I just found out one was outside, Deb, but didn't know there were 2 out of the box! Scary to see..hope they'll be alright! Thanks for the info!

The lone chick at TT fell between the nest and wall and is now under the nest. They don't know if Newton can help it out and with this chilly weather, they are afraid it won't make it! This was a while ago, has anyone heard if it's OK? I wish they could rescue the little one!! Update: They are saying it will be ok there until it gets big enough to get out on its own. Chad and Chris got there to check it..saw the baby, parents were nearby and heard it cry. They said it'll be OK where it is..guess you have to take their word for it.

"...the eyas set off the alarm" How was that managed? Was it sound-activated?
They said the alarm calls of the 2nd eyas while it was being banded set off the alarm system in the building. They turned it off but it happened again when they started on the 3rd eyas. They wasted no time in turning it off that time. I haven't seen any names yet but they were banded red, white and blue. They don't name their Falcons..just call them by their band colors..Red Girl, White Girl and Blue Girl.

From CPF: !!! Banding day May 20, 2015 - Toronto - Don Mills Marion Nash Reports: A big thank you to John Miller for his help to extract the chicks and to the great folks at Harlequin for hosting the banding. There were 3 boys this year all between 500 to 540 grams at 20 and 21 days of age. they were named Berkley, Harper and Kline sounds like a law firm to me but in this case LLP stands for Lovely little Peregrines. Berkley was named after the building management company that manages the nest building, Harper the new owners of Harlequin and Kline a CPF volunteer who assisted at this years banding. Quest and Sky kept John on his toes during the extraction but no harm to John and they settled back into their routine minutes after the chicks were back in the box. The chicks should be fledging or taking their first flights very soon sometime in the next 10 to 14 days we expect. Photos of banding to come soon stay tuned. Congrats to Quest and Skye!
