2014-02-21 Mei-ga Play Intruder, the Mommie Monster

The USDA located and removed a 9th nest on Feb. 6th.  So sad for this pair...   

Beauty was on top of cam 1 and DC was under the NE wing for almost two hours, with Beauty whining on and off.  Finally, he flew down and into the nestbox, and then she jumped off the cam and bowed.  A lot different from his first appearance in the nestbox last year! 

                     

                       

At first, I thought he was caught on something until I saw him fly.  Maybe Buddy needs a mate...he's at that age now.

The cam is back!!!

May have been a male as Pat said looked small. DC not at BS or DT at the moment.

That's what I'm thinking too.  It's that time of year.

Maybe the tiercel from KP making a move (if it is a male there)?

Looks like she is protecting her nest.....again! Hope not another female around!

With Pat seeing 3 Falcons, sounds and looks like she was in protection mode.

  Two hatches already. Waiting for nr. 3 to hatch.

Just googled her - she retired in December.  Here is an article I found about it and they mention CPF so maybe she'll become more involved - talons crossed.

Thanks, Carly.  Happy retirement to Donna!  Hope the new guy continues with the cam...I'm sure it's not a priority though.

There's been no cam running at Quest's site for at least a couple weeks now. Today I read on the CPF site that Donna is gone from Harlequin so I wonder if this is going to impact the camera running anymore.  I've asked CPF on their FB page plus posted questions about it under comments on the Harlequin blog with no answers.  Anyone know anything about it?
