Mei Xiang and her cub are still doing well! Keepers and veterinarians expect that Mei will begin leaving her den for longer periods of time soon. When she does leave the den for longer periods of time keepers and veterinarians hope to be able to perform another health check on the cub. In the meantime, keepers are continuing to do short training sessions with Mei in her den, and offer her small snack-sized treats for participating.

This morning I checked my email only to find an email from our great friend in Ohio - Chad & Chris, affectionately known as C&C!  They attached a photo of a female juvenile they wanted me to ID -  I was so so happy to look up her bands and see that she is Luna, banded Y/69 with Yellow Tape!   More details to come as I get them…!

Does anyone know how big Swift and Beau's clutch is now?  I know it's at least two eggs.  Sadly, it appears no one is keeping the website up to date.  

Incubating 2 eggs. They had 3 eggs but disposed of one after pushing it aside for a couple days. Bev posted on BCAW:

3 rd egg was broken and pecked apart and pushed aside . No apparent reason.

Hence the expression-love the one you're with!
