Possible scenario right now - Intruder may not be DC because he is not appearing at BS that we know of. I believe this aggressive behavior is another male chasing resident male from the territory because it is the best Rochester nest site.
Beauty is not fickle when she bonds with a mate, plus she has copulated with UT and her number one priority is her scrape for laying eggs. Until she feels UT will not return, I doubt she will consider bonding with this new male.
If it is DC, she will likely join with him based on her instinct to reproduce, but she won't give up her nestbox.
Do you mean another male chasing resident female or male chasing UT out?

Thanks! I'll try that. Here is a CT shot from today and the FBPP post Two pefas on CT today, near the top of the tower, with their backs to us. Lots of work going on there today. If this is Gleig, lower bird, it's so odd she's not at the nest where she would normally be, with Diamante usually perched high on the nest side also. We have a mystery. Could the work being done there be upsetting to them? Not being seen much? Not perching in usual places?

I wonder, as we watch the recovery unfolding now, if we'll see a change in our beliefs about pair fidelity.
That's what I was thinking Ei. I wonder if Yankee had this girl at another site while with BB. Another episode of "As the Falcon Turns"! And maybe why BB got so aggressive so early... Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Funny, we would know in an instant! In their defense, we have a better camera setup! Hard to see the bands at Woodmen! It's a shame we don't know what happened to him! He was a great dad. Very sad we don't know what happened to him. We are so lucky here to have such exceptional watchers -both camera and in person. For sure, Jeanne! I feel bad about Zeus too-he was a great falcon and dad.
