I hope it is fake and shame on these people for even thinking about this. Jerks! Thanks Paul, I know it's all over TV too.

Just saw it on the Weather Channel.

They will be persecuted to the edge of extinction after this video goes viral Sad

I'm seeing people sharing it on FB.  Not good-will give people more reason to shoot raptors! I hope it gets proved as a fake for the sake of all Eagles!  Sad

ROC the Day's page says that they received 10,069 donations and raised $875,000. That number was just over $635,000 when the clock ran out. There must have been some sort of matching contribution challenge that was added afterward to raise it to an even $875,000.

I know Lollipop Farm had two people that were going to match dollar for dollar donations up to $10,000 each.

http://myfox8.com/2012/12/11/florida-tackling-python-problem-with-hunting-contest/ Story and ewww pic!

A grand prize of $1,500 will be awarded to the person who kills the most pythons, and $1,000 will go to the person who bags the longest one. According to the rules, road kill will not be eligible.

The largest Burmese python ever found in Florida — its 17 foot, 6-inch carcass weighed 164.5 pounds — was harvested in the Everglades in August. Researchers at the University of Florida found 87 eggs inside the snake.

The largest prey, Friar told CNN, was a 76-pound deer that was found in the stomach of a 16-foot python a few months ago.

I can't say it enough-I HATE snakes, any size, any kind!
