Way to go, NYC falcons!!   It's hard to believe that young survive on the Throg's Neck Bridge.  She's a tough gal.

Tragic news just posted by Alison over on BCAW, Kinney has been found dead.  One of my favorite nests and pairs.  I can't imagine how KathyQ will do without her longtime mate  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

This is from his Facebook page as posted by Alison.  RIP Kinney, you WILL be missed.

It's with the saddest of hearts, a huge lump in my throat and copious amount of tears that I tell you all that Kinney has died. His body has been recovered from the 29th floor of Market Tower. Details aren't known of the how but it looks like a collision. I will post more later.

It's very sad to read of Kinney's passing.  Poor KathyQ.  Fly high and free, Kinney.  crying

I have been involved with bat conservation for years but this has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen. I loved the way Lil Drac tore into his first banana with milk, the early flight lessons, and the way he rocks himself to sleep.  Thanks so much for posting it!

Glad to share!  Here is Part 1 of Lil Drac, which I think was posted on here a while ago but I couldn't find it so posting again:

The girls are flying great today!  The flag was hanging limply from the pole so they didn't have to chance getting blown off course!  Each circled the tower with a parent, landed fine, went to rest on the nestbox ledge.  Smiley

Good to hear!   thumbsup

Another dramatic day at CT! It was extremely windy at CT today which is located on higher ground with a lot of space around it. This makes for a very windy corridor, a bit much for new fledges.
One of the two fledglings had not been seen since last night, when it had a poor flight and disappeared from view over the roof, which has a deep well which I cannot describe for you right now.
Without going into all the details, around 5:30, Connie, Jacquie and Marty went in to get to the roof and well. On the way up the stairs, they apparently made some noise which scared the fledge off the bldg and we saw it fly off from its hiding place. After being sure we had 2 adults and two fledges accounted for, we heaved our sighs of relief and finished the watch by being treated to beautiful display of flying and hovering high over the tower by Gleig.
Thank you to Joyce, Michelle, Carl, Marty, Mike, Connie and Jacquie who showed up to help find our baby Peregrine! Michelle gave me a ride home because Roger had to leave. Carl just texted that all four were flying
and the kids are now tucked in for the night!

Still stinking hot outside, no sign of any rain clouds.....darn it, I was praying for rain!  The hail and tornado can go elsewhere but we need some relief!!

Here too!  We live between Rochester and Buffalo and right now it's 93 degrees and a hot wind!
