Toronto Don Mills - Kendal brings in breakfast for Harlie and Quest stands guard August 06, 2011 - Toronto - Don Mills Ann Brokelman Reports: All I can say about today was WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW. Carol and I arrived at 10:15 and we barely parked the car to see Quest sitting right on the top ledge of 220. Next we heard Harlie. She was on the top of the building to the west from Harlequin. Around the corner on 220 was Kendal. Kendal decides it is time for brunch - brings in I believe a huge white pigeon. Harlie came screaming across the road and right to the ledge. Kendal starts to prep the food then gave up as Harlie wanted his food. lol. Quest took half the food and went around the corner for some quiet time and eat. Left poor kendal to deal with Harlie. Harlie spent the next hour with a full crop screaming over and over again about more food (her crop was so full I was surprised she could fly). She bugged Quest and Kendal. Both adults stayed on 220 but again Harlie took off to building beside Harlequin to the west. When Carol and I left Kendal was in the nest box, Quest on the west side of 220 and Harlequin with a full crop snoozing on the next building. One hour of good clean fun. has anyone seen Beauty since the reported possible falcon fight this am--Unity and Archer seem
to be okay
Nope, she has not been at the nest all day. That might have been her earlier on FCT. So that would be after Carol's sightings. MAK will be out early and she won't leave until she finds the Beautiful one! I was just arriving at KP this morning as MAK was leaving downtown and she had Beauty on FCT up til the time she left, I believe. So, I don't think Beauty was involved. I think it was either Unity & another female or Archer and another male passing through. Both were close to the same size. Before now, I've seen Archer chase off two males, an adult and a juvie. My suspicion is it was him and another male. But that's just a guess. Also, Dan told me tonite he had been out early afternoon and saw no Falcons at KP. He told me Unity flew in to KP around 7 pm. We'll keep watching. Archer should be sending one of these males Beauty's way. She definitely needs a new mate! Agreed Kris! I'm hoping that when he leaves on his Winter migration, another Tiercel comes in and bonds with either Beauty or Unity. So, when he comes back only one of the ladies will be available. That would be so nice!  Maybe Mr. T. will return-he really seemed to like Beauty.  |

MAK will be out early and she won't leave until she finds the Beautiful one! I was hoping someone had a chance to check on Beauty tonite-hopefully MAK sees her in the AM. Is there a possibility that the Falcon on the FCT earlier was Archer and not Beauty. He wasn't seen today either, was he? |

Guess I haven't been on here much  Thanx so much for the birthday greetings, great to be remembered by you guys. The ankle is coming along. According to the x-rays the fractures are now healed, working on weightbearing, strengthening, and range of motion. I'm still alive  |

Question for those who may be in the know...this is twice that I've noticed Ann writing a report calling Harlie "he". Has there been a change of opinion? Or just a slip of the fingertip? Ann's referred to Harlie as a he before on her postings and I asked Donna about it. I also wondered when the change occurred.  |
