I, too, never looked at this site too much because it was so hard to see but now..wow!  Can't say enough "thank yous" for the new camera!

Happy Birthday, Buddy!  Despite the chaos due to the arrival of the 2011 Norfolk Botanical Garden Eaglets — Buddy’s little siblings — Buddy was celebrated on this busy spring day.  To mark the occasion, he was served a nice, tasty bluefish — which he managed to devour fairly quickly for having such a crooked beak!  Buddy also received a new toy, which was highly entertaining.

The Stone Owl only has one breeding a year,The Holenduif (Stock Dove) in English can do three times or more.So she has to find another hole.At least she did not come back today and I hope not tomorrow eather.Next year they are going to make the nestbox more suitable for the Stone Owl.Years ago there where Barn Owls in this box.

That would be great if they got a better nestbox for the Stone Owl.  That poor Dove lost a lot of feathers in that last fight! 

On April 18, police responded to Bloomfield Avenue near Kingsland Street in response to a man looking through binoculars at a research facility at 11:30 a.m. The officer spoke to the man, who stated that he was a volunteer with New Jersey Wildlife and watching a pair of Peregrine falcons. He further stated that he wished to assemble nests for them on top of one of the buildings, if allowed to do so.

 

                               

The team ran into a bit of trouble when they found their can of neoprene cement had solidified, but not to worry! They found an able substitute: Mexican Red ladies’ nail polish! The team used it to seal the knots in the heavy nylon thread (otherwise known as mint dental floss!) that secures the transmitter to the harness.

Could this be why the transmitter and harness are still on? Perhaps they should consider Mexican Red a permanent alternative? Quest has certainly proven it's possible to carry on normally so far!

P.S. What brand was this? You realize it's been a three-year manicure! 

I've expressed thoughts about the nail polish too!

Both pigeons have momma owl cornered in her nest, They won't let her out.

The 3rd video on the right shows mom Owl grabbing hold of the pigeons tail feathers and won't let go. Every year, the same scenario with these pigeons. You'd think they would learn by now. 

There's a large Pigeon feather in the Owl box now and the 4/25 video shows there was quite a scuffle between the two.

since she was relesaed after re-hab at montezuma?

I haven't read any postings that he's been seen since his release last year after rehab.
