We just had something on our local news last night that these creepy things have been found at one of our local elementary schools! Sure glad my kids are grown but have to worry about grandkids now!

That is an awesome journey! We have an above ground 24' pool and we LOVE IT! Our soil here in Northern IN has way too much clay so it would have cost the price of another house to put one in the ground. We got it 4 years ago and we still LOVE it! You will love having the privacy and connivence of just using it when you want. I hope you enjoy it as we have ours. Is it fun taking the pictures to document when and how the improvements were done? We have a photo album we call our home improvement book. Fun to look back at where we started and how far we have come. You will really look forward to next spring and summer!

Thanks Patti for that information! I too sometimes can catch 2 and once in a while there just might be a third but they don't usually see the one "hiding" between the house and them! LOL! It is split seconds and the combat is on!! While sitting out by the pool they wiz past our heads and you can feel the wind as they zoom past. I love to listen to their "chatter", makes me wish I knew what they are saying!

We had a pair show up in our neighborhood about 5 years ago, lost the female and he still hangs around. It is so sad and he sounds so lonely. They ARE messy and I do see him sometimes sitting on peoples cars, thank goodness we have a large garage. But I collect his tail and wing feathers when he molts. He does not like loud noises it causes him to "call out" and when he is molting it seems he not only looses his tail feathers but his voice also! I am always teasing the other neighbors we need to buy him a pea hen, but they tell me I could be arrested for "pimping" So don't do anything! I guess I just figured the little ones would grow up and go out on their own in a new "territory".

I am so sorry to have not replied sooner to all your well wishes! I have had a busy week! It was a really good birthday, got in some pool time, and had dinner at Red Lobster and home to Turtle Cheesecake! Won't be getting on the scales for a while! Thank you again for the sweet wishes.

I am in Northen Indiana and have a whole lot of the ruby throated at my 3 feeders! They are incredible to watch! I don't understand how people get more than one or two to feed at the same feeder at the same time! I fill these feeders almost daily! Neighbors say they don't get but maybe one or two since they all hang out at my house! We will be spending time in Southern Florida this winter and am hoping to attract them at our location there. Love watching and feeding these busy little ones. Got that from my parents!

I loved this video! I had a cat while living in Florida YEARS AGO, who would turn ON the water! When I left in the morning would have to double check the handles to make sure they were TIGHT and that the water heater was OFF! I posted that on another forum to share and most loved it but one was concerned with the amount of water "wasted" to get it filmed. Bummer as I thought most could watch and enjoy. Thanks for sharing the giggles!
