YAY! Both eyases banded and back in nest box. They replaced the substrate and powdered & sprayed the area.

Check out Raptor Resource Project page for pics at banding. The RRP FB post reads:  John Howe has repelled down Great Spirit Bluff and is now cleaning the nest box after retrieving the remaining eyas. George Howe, hero of the search and rescue team, found the little jumper and brought it back up the bluff. Two eyasses banded today. Both males, names are Hamilton and Burr-d. Great work by the whole team, Amy Ries, David Kester, George Howe, and John Howe.

In attached cliff pic #1 you can see the repeller, eyases back in box, and a parent (blur in the left corner). Mom landed on perch as soon as repeller reached top in cliff pic #2. Lastly, adventurers in #3...just 2 very tired eyases.

The way Cadence is acting, I think she hears cheeps coming from inside an egg. It is almost as if she does not know what is happening since this is her first time. When I was watching at 6:30ish, I could have sworn I saw a pip, but when I clipped a picture, it's hard to tell for sure.

Look at the middle dark egg.

Wed May 10 at Union County Courthouse. NJ Dad has difficult time covering the 5 eggs. Two from previous female will not likely hatch.  http://youtu.be/QB7iotXrp3Y

New challenges - the standoff.  He echups and then he goes to sleep. What's he got to be tired about?

Cadence certainly taking a maternal stance over the eggs now.

44  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 19-Apr-17, 01:58:17 PM
Cadence reclaimed the nestbox at 1:45 pm. She has been preening, perhaps pulling feathers in preparation for her brood patch. There are a few seen on the pebbles and they are not from prey.

8 pm - Cadence booted male out of nest area. It looks like she is getting closer to egg laying. She has egg butt. Cadence assumes position, then moves. I think she is like her mom...it used to take her awhile for the first egg too.
