Shaky -- I know the Rfalconcam Homepage is busy, but is there anyway to include the recent facts of the dates and approximate times when each leg was laid?

Great Idea, Great t-shirt! I plan on getting one, but March 2010 isn't the end of her tour. Will there be an update to include April, or until her transmitter falls off?
I'd feel better if it said something like "Quest continues on..." below the columns. Or are you going to have a second shirt that says The Quest Tour Continued?

Morning, Donna! Boy, do you folks ever get up early over there! At this hour in Ireland, I am having a nice, toasty roll-over and lamenting the rising sounds of the Dawn Chorus - those birds have no manners!!! Have a good one, everyone - another egg maybe??? EGG-cellent! (I will stop this soon...)
Hi Bobbie - What is a "roll-over? I think there will be three eggs for sure. Then we will have to see if A&B start some serious incubation. So many of us want to see the egg laying. I go to sleep late and when I wake up in the middle of the night, I usually check. I'm just glad someone tweets the news, so I can get it where ever I am (even in a meeting at work). ~Joyce Edit - I was typing this post when it happened!! The advantage of having cameras from different perspectives.

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Has brooding begun??

Incubation and Brooding - as Ei said, incubation usually starts with the next-to-the-last egg. The normal clutch for peregrines is 4 eggs, and may be less for new parents. Development of the first eggs doesn't start (even though they are laid earlier) until proper, consistent temperature begins. The reason they wait until egg laying is nearly finished is so the eggs will hatch close together time-wise. Check out the article in Imprints archive April 2007: Incubation – Turning Eggs into Eyases for additional information. ~Joyce

Wham13, our local tv station, had a short clip about Beauty and Archer today. Nice interview with Jim P. But, they showed times square building and had it captioned as Kodak. Oy!
See, everyone is still used to saying "The Kodak Falcons"....Now it's the "Times Square" falcons We have to be careful with saying "Times Square" falcons. When I was on the Cleveland Board recently, I noticed they follow "Times Square" falcons in New York City. I guess we better stick to Rochester Falcons (TS Bldg) for now.

Thanks so much Ei for posting these pics and news of Seneca. I'm so happy she is doing so well and bathing to boot. I still can't get on the site, so by you sharing what is there is great. Beautiful pictures. They certainly are B-U-TEE-FULL!!! Ei has posted a comment to the forum about viewers not being able to get on to the site. I also followed up with the Admin. Maybe they have experienced this with other members. Don't you just love the falcon bathing? ~Joyce

Rochester Falcons / Falcon Watches / Re: Watcher Watching
|
on: 12-Apr-10, 10:24:13 PM

Yesterday we had a smaller watcher contingent, despite the arrival of a second egg. They seemed to be congregating closer to Exchange Street rather than over the river, and a TV camera appeared to mark the interview of Lord G (though I left my binoculars at home, so I couldn't read his leg bands and make a positive ID).
