This is such a feel good moment! Thank you S/39 "Big Frank" for coming to visit Rochester.

Thanks MAK for photographing little Big Frank and capturing his ID.

We have seen merlins a few years ago as well. How exciting! Nothing like watching juvies learning their skills. Can't wait to check it out.

Great shots, Bonnie! Thank you for sharing! Such a pretty girl, our Cadence! 2thumbsup

Thank you Bonnie! So glad you were there to capture this moment. She is a beautiful peregrine indeed!

Hey there Patty, you were missed this weekend.

Billie & Seth need a nest!! (hint hint)  wub2

Nice idea but where would you like to put it?

The DEC has been informed that there was nesting activity in that location resulting in 1 juvenile falcon. Now that we have confirmed a resident pair in the area,  maybe they will advocate having a nest tray or box for next year (after this season is over). The question was asked, so we wait and see.

Well I'm glad you "verified" what I've been reporting Joyce! Wouldn't want people to think I'm making this stuff up. By the way, the window to the right on the first pic behind the chair and planter is my apartment. Oh, and nice pics!!  gum

Hope u didn't take what I posted wrong. We all know you aren't making it up.  I just wanted to share what it looks like when it gets captured on camera, because I know you have a hard time with holding your arms up and taking pictures when the falcons are flying by so fast.

Pics of BILLIE in flight on June 29, 2015.

Sharing some pics I took on June 29, 2015 of BILLIE. These verify that the ST falcons do fly right by MAK's balcony and window. LOL Her balcony is the the one with the triple planter in the corner and the chair. Billie flew by twice.
84  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcons News / Re: We Are Very Sad to Report That Bronx Did Not Make It on: 30-Jun-15, 01:25:58 PM

BRONX, you stole my heart when you were only known by your yellow feet. You were the youngest of three, but you flew like a pro after you fledged. You were so much fun to watch on cam and in person.  I miss you still...FLY FREE.

Dumpsterkitty shared this "so true" quote by Charles Annenberg...

“The beauty of our cams is that it allows us to connect with nature in its highest form of purity. That said, the dark side of this intimacy is accepting that the natural world is not the Disney film we all hope for. The lesson for all of us is to appreciate the fragile world we live in and how delicate the balance between life and death is a compliment to how the cameras have connected emotional bounds with the wonders of the world."

Thank you BRONX for bringing the joy of nature into my life. ~ Joyce (wnyfalconfan)

Does anyone know?
Is Genesee bowing to Dot.ca...like Dot.ca does to Beauty during courtship?
This is the first time I have seen this behavior between eyas and parent...is this showing sign of respect?

On the humerous side, Bronx's pose is so funny. LOL

The boys dozing next to mom.

Bronx loves to cuddle. Cadence looks on.

I think this pic by MAK from her morning watch report bears reposting all by itself...

Hmmmm, could the first born be female? Look how the talons of Daddy's little girl is holding on to Dot.ca.
