Hi Ezsha,
Under "Rfalconcam now" I was up in the wee hours of the morning and smiled when I got your post by tweet: "Peregrine under OSCR, Cam 1". I'm not exactly sure what you meant by OCSR, but you used an acronym that the local watchers refer to for a different building from the one where the nestbox is.
To help clarify, here are some of the acronyms we use:
A&B =Archer & Beauty pefa = Peregrine Falcon TS = Times Square (building with wings where the nestbox is) OCS or OCSR = Old Changing Scenes (Building) or Old Changing Scenes Restaurant (the restaurant at the top of the building is now offices, but that is what makes the building stand out) KO = Kodak KT = Kodak Tower KP = Kodak Park

DRAMA in BUFFALO - One lost egg at UBSage reported on her blog http://pefas.blogspot.com/ ... "During the evening, there was a fight with a third Peregrine at the UB nestbox and sadly, an egg was lost. I can't help but wonder if the third bird could have been Smoky trying to regain his nest, and I don't know yet which male is at the nest today. Another question is whether incubation will be resumed. I'll post more info as it become available. Also of note, there was a third bird at CT on 3/24, and another such incident at the north GI bridge recently. Smoky may still be here trying to get a nest site. Stay tuned..."Comment - BB may not have started incubating yet. Her eggs were laid on 3/24, 26, & 29. She may have been getting ready to lay a 4th egg. Let's hope the two remaining eggs do not get abandoned. If it is Smoky, tell him there is a female across the lake looking for a mate! Joyce

Definitely sounds like Larry O. Had the pleasure of meeting Mark and Stella this past weekend. Happy to have a Watcher in the Times Square Bldg. 80 degrees in Rochester on Friday and Saturday! WooHoo! Heatwave!!! Can't wait to wear no coat! Larry O - that's what I thought too. The sandwich was the give away. Hey Mark - I know this is Easter weekend, so I hope you don't have to come into the office. But there will be a few of us on watch. Especially this weekend because Easter Sunday has been "battle of the peregrines" day in Rochester, 2 years in a row. Casey and Abby would like to meet Stella too. We have a group of canine falcon watchers. Here is pic Dawn took last weekend when we all went to Durand beach after our watch. Mine are the smaller two. ~Joyce

From Audubon - Educational online game for children (and adults). Help your flock migrate safely, fly long distances while looking for food, water, & shelter. Help the flock dodge storms and airplanes, catch jet streams, and fly faster or slower. Choose landing sites when the flock runs out of energy. Click on Mission: Migration to accept the challenge and see how birds travel during spring and fall migrations. http://ny.audubon.org/missionmigration.html#

!!! We are cookin’ March 29, 2010 - Port Colborne - ADM Mill Doug Garbutt Reports:
Although we have had problems with our monitor, by chance I tried it on Saturday & it came on for a brief moment. I can confirm that there 4 eggs in the scrape here. As far as we know, the tiercel is an unnamed bird from Buffalo (we call him Buffalo Bill) & the female is Treasure from Cleveland.
Amazing how these peregrines rotate nest sites and the "youth" take over. "Treasure" is a 2007 fledgling M/82 from Cleveland Terminal Tower, Cuyahoga County, OH. Parents: male *R/K, female S/*W

BB now has a third egg, and her pet rock YAY three - keeping up with Rhea Mae (2006) in Toronto. You know Mariah and Kaver had a pet rock "Orville" at Kodak Tower. It was handed down to Mariah's grandson Archer to carry on the legacy at Times Square. Orville is is in the Nestbox waiting for Beauty to lay eggs. Why not create a poll to name BB's pet rock?

Cam 3??????????????? OMG....I'm so confused now....it's like math...add/subtract. So there are 6 cams but 5 are working?
There are 5 cams working and 4 are on Times Square. There is only one generating pictures at the Powers Building. What is strange is that CAM 4 at the Powers Building changed its view at 4:30 pm today. Check the archive. I think there was a switch-a-roo.

Hey Joyce doesn't Archer have a white spot on the back of one of his wings? Right now Archer does. Last year he had one too, but then it disappeared. So I don't think it is a permanent ID mark, but if we only see the back of a falcon on cam, and it has a white spot on the right wing, we can assume it's Archer.

Hi Abacab, You can also check the topic "Pictures from the Rfalconcam cameras" http://rfalconcam.com/forum/index.php?topic=1096.0That's where members post and identify. Study the photos and you will start to see differences. A quick way to check when you can't see the band ID - Beauty has more stripe marks on her chest, and salmon coloring. They appear all the way up to her neck. Archer's chest is more bright white. Archer has more white above the cere (part of the beak). Beauty's moustache (sideburns) are not as narrow as Archer's. Good luck! ~Joyce
