Since the travel tower is not available for another week and the banding is cancelled, they've posted to their Peregrine webcam enthusiasts...

"This leaves it up to us, webcam followers, to determine the sex of our three chicks and name them accordingly.  If both male and female chicks are present in the nest box, the size difference, with the female chicks being noticeably larger, will be the key.  Take a close look and let us know what you think."  http://www.alcoa.com/australia/en/info_page/falcon_webcam.asp

DITTO on Kudos to Donna.  I'm so happy you found her home.  As Carol mentioned she has been visible this weekend.  I saw Beauty just before dark on Saturday on Old Changing Scenes (see Twitter), and last evening Brian and I found her on Widows Walk railing.  As you can see, she looked beautiful in the setting sun.

wnyfalconfan (Joyce): Beauty on OCS south side top beam at 5:45.

At first I didn't see Beauty on the top I beam of Old Changing Scenes.  She blended in so well, especially at that time of the day.  I watched her for about 20 minutes and then she flew to the corner near the elevator shaft.  If I didn't know where she was, I might not have seen her.  She was really tucked into the corner.  Beauty flew off and it looked like she was trying to get up into the elevator shaft, but the elevator was in the up position.  She flew around and tried again, then headed to the north side of OCS.  I couldn't find her after that.

Here are pics of Beauty that I took around 6 pm today.  ~Joyce

Yay!! That's 4 days in a row!  Glad you got to see her since you were busy with ambulance duty on the weekend.  Nice to know that Mariah is hanging around, even if they are brief sightings.

Here a some pics from yesterday.  I am on my way out for the day, but I will update my Picasa album when I have the chance, and let you know when it is completed.  The DEC was notified and sent the photo of Mariah's band for positive ID.

MAK - We owe this find to the "eagle eyes" of Dana, but I'm sure it was the watcher's magnatism and love of Mariah that allowed us to visit for over 3 hours.

Hi Donna,

I don't get to the forum every day and sometimes I don't have time to get to the OT stuff.  I just saw your post and instantly saw the head of a raptor in the right corner.  I didn't think of it as an eyas though.  Where you placed your other arrow, I see a profile of the right side of a face and it looks like it is looking at a cobra snake.  Do you see it?

hmmm, wonder who the one was...thanks.

I'd put my money on Archer...he's the one I've seen the most when there is only a single falcon.  I think he likes to stay close to home.

There were no falcons on the main cam since October 11.  That was the last time I saw both in person, but Larry had Beauty on the Communication Tower at lunch on 10/12.
