I just spoke to MAK's sister-in-law. In addition to what Donna shared, MAK was not back in her room as of 2:30pm. Her doctor says she has to be up and moving right away at least three walks a day around the station. No rest for her. Her sis-in-law said she would hang a bird in front of her if that would help. That made me think...I still have Baron von Pefa on my fridge. Think I'll try that when I visit. LOL

We could call him Agent 99, but she was a female. We might have to call him Maxwell. Good one Pat! For now Agent 99 would be perfect. After all s/he was banded as a female. MAK's photos also confirm what Dana texted to watchers on 9/27/14, that she "couldn't read bands but maybe seeing 99 in Black which might mean [bird] may have been incorrectly banded as a female. As for seeing 6...I must have been standing on my head. LOL! 99 is a good temporary name. It's quick and easy to text. If we ever need a more permanent name, we could use the runner-up in the poll that selected Veteran. Great idea!

If a Falcon was sitting on a ledge in the elevator shaft and the elevator moved, could the Falcon get hurt or fall into the shaft and not be able to get out? Just wondering if anyone would know. Not likely. If the elevator started up, a falcon could quickly exit. Just the noise of the gears would be plenty of warning. The falcons can enter and leave the elevator shaft whether the elevator is up or down. It is an outside elevator, so there is no shaft to fall into.

I've checked my Buffalo lists of juvies. My guess is that this mystery falcon is from UB MacKay 2012: "Phoenix" (aka Talon Alda) male, b/g-16/AW, yellow tape. Parents are BB and Yankee.
I don't think it is a Rochester tiercel. Baron 2013 would more than likely have streaks, and doubtful Zephyr's 2008 band tape would last 5 years.
If you look closely and enlarge my photos, it looks like a 6 in the black. If you use Google Chrome you can enlarge screen to 150% and see 6. I thought I saw A in green on another pic, but nothing that I could get clear enough to post.

Here are photos of the peregrine I saw on Thursday 9/18 at Seneca Towers between noon and 1pm. It was on the south end of the building on the ledge above the hall windows. She/he was eating. Because they were taken from my car while it was raining, it was too far to get an ID.
This falcon has a black over green band on left leg and yellow tape on right leg. The feathers appear to be more adult like and I would guess at least 2 years old. Note, there is no visible feathers above the cere, and the head is rounded. The chest lack streaking.
