There still may be one or two in Joyce's Word doc that need to be added.

confused smiley

Are these OK Joyce??

Donna

Thanks for finding 'confused'. Donna - you helped a lot!  I was able to use some of your links to smileys websites and I found the "shivering cold" one that's my favorite, plus some others.  Even found a penquin I liked. I'll post them in a separate post.

OK Joyce...I figured out a not very elegant but functional way to find the source url's from other forums, so...which forum are these from?  I've seen them, just can't remember where (probably Buffalo, now that I typed that)

Anyway, let me know & we'll get them migrated!

here's an oops
here's a cool smiley
here's a rose smiley, not the same but a rose
a penguin
here's what I'm afraid of

Thanks for these!  That's the oops I was looking for.  So glad the dancing smiley got added too...that was another one I forgot.  Yes, all the ones I mentioned are on the Buffalo forum.

I guess you can't add the penguin until winter comes tickedoff.

Another game that I came across.  Thought Patti and others who like to trek might like this..

Lou

Finally - one I could succeed at!  The first round I starved to death, and the 2nd time I made it to 400 miles but ran out of porters.  Here is my 3rd time.  Thanks - I enjoyed that.

I'm pretty sure it is Archer.  See that white spot on the back right wing?  That's his identifying mark.

Glad to hear Chester is doing better.

When I took our new addition "Abby" to the vets this week, I decided to get the bordetella vaccine.  Even though we have never kenneled our dogs, I did this just in case because dogs under a year are more susceptible.  There has been an outbreak of canine cough here in WNY as well and Abby has play dates with lots of other dogs.  At least she is covered in case we have to board her and kennels here require it as well.  I wish this vaccine was yearly and not every 6 months - a lot of money to shell out for a 'what if' situation.

You should be able to either post the links to the smileys or download them to your computer and attach them to a post.

I tried that, but they are smileys that are on another forum.  If I "copy shortcut", it doesn’t link to anything.  I saved the pictures, but there is no movement, and I don’t know where to find them on the web.

Attached is a doc file with the smiley pics I like.

Janet sorry for the late response.

Canine cough (often called Kennel cough) is a form of bronchitis just as in humans.  It is a contagious upper-respiratory disease which is spread by an air-borne virus.  It consists of a bacteria and a virus.  A vet will treat the bacteria with a broad spectrum antibiotic.  The virus is treated with supportive care such as bed rest, low activity (may need crating to keep activity down), hydration/liquids, keeping warm, and not allowing the pet to pull on collar.   Inflammation in the throat is viral just like the common cold in humans, and has to run its course.

Dextromethorphan/Guaifenesin (Robitussin DM ®) can be used to treat coughing in dogs, cats and ferrets, at a dosage of 0.5 ml/lb every 8 hours. I wouldn't do anything with OTC drugs unless recommended by my vet.

My preference would be a more natural way of easing the irritation that causes the cough unless the doctor prescribes cough medication.  One home remedy that has had reported success with canine cough is food grade 3% hydrogen peroxide (with or without honey):  3 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide with 2 teaspoons of honey for each 8 oz. glass and fill bowl.  Milk can also be used.  The same amount can be used in 4 oz. of water, and then you can brush, or finger brush the dogs teeth with it.

Lou,

I haven't been able to spend much time on the board lately.  Well, you made my day!!  Even though I just saw this today, I laughed my *%# off! hysterical I have been so caught up in work projects, that this was the best stress reliever I could have had. clap

Danke! Muchas Gracias!

Love it. Dana was dancing and singing, "Do-Re-Mi" while the video was playing. laugh

Lou

I believe you Lou.  I can see Dana doing that, especially since I saw Dana doing street dancing up in Toronto when she heard some movin' music.

I would like to see the "rose" (that is used on Kfalconcam) added here.

I also have some smileys I want included - so how do I post them here so you can see them?  Here are the descriptions:

1.  "DOH" - smiley smacking forhead
2.  "Sign 0173" - cool/sunglasses smiley with thumbs up, holding sign saying 'Good job'
3.  "oops" - smiley with red blushing cheeks holding sign 'Oops!'
4.  "Confused" - smiley tapping chin with finger
5.  "uhm" - smiley blinking eyes with hand on head and question mark over head.
6.  "cold" - shivering smiley (only eyes showing) with a winter hat and scarf
7.  "penquin" - flapping & moving feet

Looks like after they fly around with the 3rd falcon downtown (per Joyce's twitters), they came back home to renew their bonds.  wub2

Just so everyone knows, we tweet falconwatches so you all can see what is happening instantly.  You can see what is happening in the nestbox, and we report what is happening outside.  In this case, they were actually Carol P's tweets (known as WanderingFalcon on Twitter).  If Carol P is downtown, she'll call one of us to tweet the watch for her right away.  If I am downtown and I see A&B on Changing Scenes, then you know why you don't see any activity in the nestbox...but they can come and go at any time..and that's when the online watchers can post what's happening.

Whatever Quest has been doing to survive - it's working well for her (even through all that bad weather).  So far she's still content being on the lake shore between Port Hope and Wesleyville.

Anne - Thanks for sharing your pictures. I guess you can take a big deep sigh now, and hope we don't have any more of these storms.  That last one puts things in perspective again.  We've had our fair share in Rochester too, but nothing as ominous looking as your black sky photo.

I could kick myself!  I received an e-mail about the Raptor presentation at Braddock Bay today, and I forgot all about it Sad  I really wanted to see Emma up close Cry   But the worst part is that I missed seeing Lou and Dana  crying
Hopefully I'll see you all soon.  My Mom is doing well and is coming home next Wednesday  clap
Carla P.  Great

Good News about your Mom Carla P!   Casey & Abby (new doggie for you to see) are wagging their tails too dogwag

I didn't know about the presentation until it was mentioned while watching for Mariah at KP.  Since I had my canine falconwatchers with me, I decided to head downtown, cause i couldn't take them with me.

star star star star star Great pictures Lou!
