Had a nice, sunny walk this afternoon and noticed some of the trees are starting to get a tinge of color on their leaves. The air was crisp too - I love this time of year. autumn

Thanks again, all. Bobbie - I just looked up what "Slainte" means - what a nice birthday wish! (On my mom's side of the family we have Scottish and Irish in us, so it gives even more meaning to it!) abs-cheers

Just observed a bird I've never seen before. He was very small, with a speckled chest, very small beak and very yellow tailfeathers on the underside (that's what really caught my eye!). I think he/she's migrating cuz I've never seen or heard anything like it, but boy, was it cute! It was waiting to get into the birdbath cuz the sparrows were hogging it. Once he got in, he had a great time, bathing and chirping. I couldn't find him in my bird books, may have been a female due to the mottled colors (maybe a little bit of a gray cap too on its head? - not sure about that). I love this time of year, with the different sounds in the backyard and woods due to the migrating birds!  foxbinocs

Major storm going on, as of about noon today. Blizzard warnings and all!  penguinspin Kinda cool, but I still wonder what the birds, etc. do in this kind of horrific weather!

Thank you all so much for the beautiful bird-day wishes! I love them all!

I had a long, late day at work but it was good, and I'm on vacation tomorrow and all next week. I'm hoping to spend lots of time outdoors and checking out the birds, especially the migrating ones. There's lots of really cool butterflies and dragonflies out there this time of year too!

God bless!  flowers

Okay, so I can no longer say that I'm not addicted, as I AM, with the new streaming video!! And, boy it gives a whole new dimension to their dinnertime - ewwwww (yummy for them though!).  It's also great being able to hear them.

Thanks, Donna - I forgot about the possibility of Archer not being a Rochester baby. I've always liked the way that "our" kids were named by school children, our falcon board members, etc. and that they include a significance to the name, like, Skye, Mariah and others.

Am thrilled we get to watch Mariah & Kaver's great-grandkids.  happy  And thanks to all who made it happen, especially with the streaming video.

I can't remember - who named Archer? And what does his name signify?

Thanks,
Helen P.
