We've had some white-crowned sparrows in our backyard this weekend. Handsome little birds with the sweetest song...  They must be passing through as I rarely see them here in central Illinois.

2 eggs - how exciting!! If things keep going so well, it won't be too awful long before the lovely new nestbox is "decorated" with poop-art, courtesy of the eyases   

BTW, did a Boy Scouts troop make the new nestbox? That's a very cool thing if so.

No birds, but I love this site - Old Faithful Geyser at Yellowstone National Park. Lots of snow there this week. (And, I have seen buffalo on the webcam there sometimes!)

When I checked the other day it looked like there was an extra layer of moss in the middle of the nest... more than in previous years. Ms. Stork looked cozy and comfy on it.

When I clicked on the Flevo Centrale 2 nestbox just now, it was like pigeon central! There must have been 4 or more pigeons in there sleeping! (And, yeah, I still need to figure out how to post pictures to the forum.)
