Someone caught this photo and posted it on Twitter this morning.  The 4th eyas was observing the feeding from the safety of its egg.  All 4 should be present and accounted for this morning.

The 3rd egg has hatched at Harrisburg.  Only 1 left to go!  Mom is feeding them now.

Mom just left to get some food for the little ones but she tipped the one on the right onto its back when she left.  It looked like a fluffy turtle on its back kicking its legs.  Mom fed them, mostly the one on the left, who promptly collapsed onto its sibling.  The one on the right got flipped back over when Mom returned from stashing the leftovers.

I just checked the Harrisburg website and there were 2 hatches yesterday.  I saved a picture and am trying to post it - hope it works!

This egg was joined by 3 others by March 23rd this year and it looks like the first one has a hole in it today.  Bring on the fluffy white explosion!

Just wanted to give you an update on the abused dogs.  The lady who was charged with cruelty finally pled guilty and now the younger pit bull "Wiki" is up for adoption.  You can find her picture at "www.lollypop.org".  I assume the older male is still recovering at the shelter since he was in worse shape.

I volunteer at Lollypop Farm where these 2 pit bulls were taken.  The 6 month old female is named Wiki and she has been doing well.  The 1 year old male is named Timber.  He needed to remain in the clinic for a while but I was there last week when they moved him into one of the administrative office to get some peace and quiet.  He's still very thin but he seems to be getting around OK.  He's mostly skin and bones but his tail is wagging all the time.  It's amazing to see how often abused animals learn to trust humans again.  Since the "owner" has been charged I believe the dogs will be held as evidence until the trial is over.  By then they should be back on their feet and ready for new homes.  If you go to www.lollypop.org there's an article on the home page about them.

I don't know if anyone else has posted about this, but I just checked Quest's weekly map and the most current reading has her in Ontario west of Buffalo.  I thought she might head east to Massachusetts where she spent last winter but she apparently has other ideas this year.

I saw the bird watching kittens too and immediately thought of this site.  There's another photo in there somewhere with two cats on a deck and one is looking at an eagle perched on the railing while the other cat is telling him he really shouldn't consider chasing the bird.  Too funny! humming bird

I  LOVE this site!!  I needed a pick me up and found a book by the same people in Barnes & Noble, but this has infinite possibilities.  I know where I'm going to be spending my free time now - thanks!
