Yes he does...I have soooo many photos of Mariah with that same face...I love it!!!

Everyone cross their fingers that this passes...it'll make everyone with the CRT breathe a bit easier and, hopefully, keep the birds away from landfills and garbage dumps and, ultimately, maybe away in our health center!

This is great news!  The Portland Zoo (one of the condor recovery partners) has been studying ways to re-introduce them in the Pacific Northwest too so hopefully the 2 groups are working together.  Yay!   

I thought I saw the shape of some kind of camera in the window!   

Joyce, pretty good chance it's the same bird-the markings are pretty similar to my eyes.

I think I agree with Ei...the shapes of the white markings beneath the malar stripe are almost identical as are the wings tips...but then, I'm no expert!

If one would like to read an excellent history of condors - and learn how the Audubon Society got started - pick up the book Condor - To The Brink And Back - The Life and Times of One Giant Bird by John Nielsen.  It has the history of the California condor from the beginning to the present and exactly who started the captive breeding program (hint - it's not JUST the San Diego Zoo!).  Excellent book!
