I just noticed it is easier for me to not logout each time.  I come back and I don't have to login.  I can't seem to set up automatically log me in like I do for most other forums.  I have Firefox and I usually just check the Remember me for the site.  It doesn't seem to come up here.

My question:  Is it OK to just stay logged in?  The timer seems to only count the time I am actually fooling around, er, reading posts, on the forum.

Hi Bonnie,

When you enter the forum you can log in 2 ways - right there on the home page and use the "forever" time or click on the "login" link and choose "keep me permanently logged in".  It's okay to do this.  One thing to mention, though, is that when you empty your browser cache (dump temp files, etc), it will clear out your login and you'll have to log in again.  Not a bad thing though, that little perk saved me a ton of time this weekend!   

One of my favorite features of this forum is the ability to see any unread posts since the last time I was here. 

However, I was away for a couple of hours and just thought I'd pop back in and see what I missed.  I clicked on the "show unread posts since last visit" and it said there were none.  But when I looked on the home page, I noticed several posts that I had not seen before - for example, the post by Bonnie on this page at 1:36.  Am I doing something wrong?

Nope...you're doing just what you're supposed to do.  It's possible that the "unread posts" link hadn't caught up with itself at that point. 

And remember that if you click on the name of the latest post in a section it will take you right to it too.

Nope...she hasn't as of this morning.  I may have to email her directly and walk her through it...or ask Donna or someone else to help her.

 

Figured I'd take a break from member approving and post a photo of my Angel Kitty.  She's not too big on having her picture taken but I did manage to get her to sit still for a photo class assignment...not an easy task!
